Part four of me gushing about Blender. My modeling powers continue to increase unchecked, who could have guessed I would be able to replace Maya as a modeling tool within a month, haha, not me!
The set is done, now that I put the fireplace and floor in I'm all set to put the final touches on the animation itself and move on to texturing/rendering.
I'm also chipping away at the Angus/Chonky Animatic collaboration, a work in progress of which I'll love to show you, soon as the animation stops looking like trash!
This will only be interesting to process nerds, but Blender lets you apply "displacement" to modeled objects without needing a whole bunch of prep work, which adds some (or a lot of) randomness to the things you've made with just a few clicks. The effect can be subtle, but makes a world of difference in turning things that look too perfect/artificial into more natural looking objects.
