Unfortunately the pencils for the second panel have been lost. Which is really annoying because I completely re-penciled that sucker before inking.

I'm using the two news-streamers, Bok and Jerome, in part as convenient expositors of the story and in part as PART of the story. Because the news media is always part of the story even when they pretend to be neutral observers.

I "cheated" a bit here by pulling in an image of Casa del Silvestri (Alyss' former home) in the background of panels 4 and 6. Alyss put that on the back wall in an effort to honor/memorialize a fallen friend.

Drawing the wrecked versions of all these rooms was, oddly enough, easier than drawing the nice, pre-disaster versions. Might be due to the practice I've had since then, or might be because I could free-hand everything rather than using CSP's rulers and shape tools. The shaky lines look all too appropriate here.

In contrast to the previous two pages, these two were a breeze. Although the effects added at the coloring stage took a bit of thought and time.
These pages took extra time to draw, especially page 5. I didn't expect agriculture to be so complicated.
The gynoid "Melissa" was modeled on my second wife, the mother of my elder son. Even though we've had some differences I'm still fond of her, and am glad she seems to be having a happy life now.
A lot of this is re-hash for those familiar with the series but I want this story to be accessible for people just joining in now.
Bok will be appearing a lot in this series, as a kind of narrator. But he won't be on every page. Likely less than half of them.
