The violation of Josefina (in the last episode) hit Baz and Albert hard. We're still sorta reeling from the fallout that situation. Too many of our fellow women in the Mexican culture have this sort of thing in their past. It is deeply infuriating. We can definitely see the anger that Mateo has in response, but we also realize that vigilantism i...

Chaos spirals around all of our main characters trying to keep their heads above the fray.
While the story is dark, for sure, both Baz and Albert are starting to see come holes in the plot and take note of what we think is at work here. It appears Albert is questioning some of the choices that creator, John Logan, made in writing and prod...

The plot thickens, the mystery deepens. And man, are we ever in a dark hole of a mystery!
All of the horrors of the Japanese and German fascist regimes are on full display for us to cringe and recoil from. Yet, given the recent circumstances in our real (political) lives, we don't think a more relevant show should be covered. And we can't ...

It's 1963. In what is left of the United States after WWII.
We begin a dark sci-fi series. One where the allies LOST WWII. The US was split between the main Axis powers of Japan taking possession over everything west of the Rocky Mountains and Germany taking possession of everything east of the Rockies. This leaves the Rockies themselves a...

Everything seems to be moving in a more positive manner. Fingers crossed this isn't the end of our favorite British students. But, if it is, it leaves us with hope that all will work out in their collective futures. A very bittersweet episode and potential end to the series.

A common theme in latino families: religion. Even for those of us who are atheist, we still have to deal with those family members who are fervently religious. And Penelope and her mother (Lydia) are no exception in this spicy (yet totally funny) episode.

Baz couldn't wait to put this one in front of Albert (isn't that usually the case?). This was for two reasons:
1) Rita Moreno (that Puerto Rican goddess of an actress/songstress/comedian) is part of the cast and she is bloody brilliant!
2) It seems that Albert has very little experience with American sitcoms. He hasn't seen many so t...

So, the premise of showing Albert 9 to 5 was to prepare him for this series. In it we have two of our gay holy trio, Jane Fonda and Lily Tomlin (though Dolly eventually joins them later in the series). Baz has been wanting to show this to Albert since they've started this reaction channel/series. And Albert didn't disappoint. This is the first two eps we did back to back.
Enjoy!

Straight (pun intended) outta Baz's era - this is one he couldn't wait to have Albert react to. It's one of Baz's favorite films of all time. Though filmed at the end of the 20th century (1998), this hit all the marks of (gay) life in the 80s to a tee.

This one needs a bit of context. It's a generational thing. Albert has grown up in an era where trigger warnings, gender norms and other cultural issues have varied widely from when Baz came up during the 70s-90s.
