I took your original meaning, but I was hoping I hit something with my scattershot. So I intended to play off "No spoilers" as though maybe one of my umpteen different suppositions had landed close enough to the mark to be considered "spoilers" and I was now looking down the barrel of having to agonize over which of my random theories was coincidentally correct. But I'm realizing now how my reply sounds, in hindsight, like I'm responding petulantly to being chided. My bad! That one is on me! :)

Specially if the Lion Twins are the "children" for lack of a better term of The Lady and Ssael. Or perhaps Murkoph is just... Sin... Or decay... All of Ssael's worst times, shed off 'im. The physical or metaphorical cast-off of Ssael. When he merged into the Khert. When he and the Lady attempted to sound the Unsounded, the flesh couldn't make the trip. Duane has never been "physically" present in the Khert. Sette has, but we've no solid indication that anything not of the Khert can pass into the Khert. So Murkoph is what's left over. Pure Id and sin and decay. A corpse, puppeteer'd by his basest and worst desires. And now plucked from the Khert by the lady. A memory? A physical thing she figured out how to keep together in the Khert 'gainst the odds? Or was he trapped there by Spiderpaws? That seems implied by earlier conversations. He and the Lady caged together for long ages. The man targically lost trying to break that cage? Was Ssael was split apart into lions? Ego Sette, Super Ego Lion, Id Murkoph? Who knows? Twins are the theme, but Sette and her Brother and the Devil make Three. So I'm just spinning out line at this point. Hoping to hook anything. Is this anything?
