I am working on a live weather wallpaper
Added 2024-01-30 17:05:57 +0000 UTCEver since I released my 2nd app Lively Weather this was the most requested wallpaper π
The wallpaper weather effect will change based on the location weather (or pick your own effect), in this demo I am picking my own effect.
Need to figure out a interface for this (maybe same as the app?); keep in mind this is a full rewrite since wallpapers are written in JavaScript but the weather app is a native C# application so it won't have all the features of the app as it is too much work π
The wallpaper will be available along with the next Lively Wallpaper update.

There is a Data.json file, you will have to edit it to include new images (so not straight within Lively) and the image will need to be blurred using third party tools. This is the file, it needs information like time of the picture (for day/night mode): https://github.com/rocksdanister/weather/blob/main/src/Drizzle.UI.UWP/Assets/Backgrounds/Data.json In addition to the above maybe I can add the option to have only 1 custom image within Lively for all weather effects, just expect this to be a very lite version of the weather app. > Suggestion, a weather information overlay in the bottom or to right/left/center, or the center of the screen? Yeah the weather overlay interface is not decided yet, if I try to make it exactly like the app its soooo much work xD > Also, how will it deal with multiple monitors? The background is randomly selected, so it will have different view in multiple monitor.. the location selection will be within Lively itself (hence it will require new version of Lively with the location api support.)
