New Headshots!

Every time I change my hair, I have to shoot new headshots. I thought I could just go back to the ones I used in 2022 when my hair was still mermaid-colored, but GOSH it was light back then! It's quite a lot darker now.
I snapped these really quickly while I was shooting thumbnail images for the ADHD video, and here they are! If I ever talk about changing my hair again, someone stop me 😮💨

2024-02-24 23:24:37 +0000 UTCWELL, I don't want to discount that I've been genetically graced with a few good features, but you should also keep in mind that a) I've been learning to be on camera for over a decade now, so I've learned which poses and facial expressions suit me and which don't; b) I light and edit all my own photos, so I ensure that those things are done in the way most flattering to me; and c) I usually shoot dozens or even 100+ photos, and only polish/show you a handful of them! I think we all have our own self image battles to fight, and the nature of the internet is such that we usually only get to see others at their best, while we see ourselves all the time. But I can assure you that there are PLENTY of times when I look at photos of myself, or look at myself in the mirror, and feel extremely turnip-y!!

2024-02-24 17:40:02 +0000 UTCSince going back to colored hair, I’ve been using Joico Defy Damage every time I wash it — just because we’ve really had to be so hard on it to get it lightened up again! It’s made a huge difference.
