Introducing Side Characters: A New Feature in Shattered Minds V0.16!

What are Side Characters?

Side Characters are unique NPCs designed to make the world of Shattered Minds feel even more alive. They don't come with their own quests or elaborate storylines, but that doesn't mean they lack a plot entirely. Side Characters won't appear in the MC's contact list, can't be summoned, and cannot be added to his harem.

Instead, Side Characters are individuals you encounter in the world at predefined locations. Using your power, you can corrupt them, increasing their loyalty until they fully submit to you—leading to intimate encounters.

Some Side Characters are available right from the start, while others require you to take control of specific buildings to unlock them.

Why add Side Characters?

Side Characters bring a new sense of life and vibrancy to Shattered Minds’ locations, which may have felt empty before. They provide more opportunities to use your power outside of quests and serve as the perfect addition to the recently introduced Real Estate mechanic.

By taking over buildings, you unlock new Side Characters, adding a new layer of incentive beyond generating money and mind points.

What can you do with Side Characters?

As you use your power to corrupt them, you'll experience a brief, focused storyline that shows their gradual descent into loyalty and submission. With each use of your power, they'll become more devoted, dressing provocatively to please you and engaging in increasingly intimate actions. The deeper their corruption, the more they'll do for and with you.

Your ultimate goal is to fully corrupt these characters, solidifying your control over the city and its inhabitants, one piece at a time.

Side Characters are entirely optional. Choose to corrupt them, or leave them untouched.

Side Characters in V0.16

Polly: Unlock her by taking over the coffee shop, where she dreams of becoming your new barista.
Cynthia: Meet her in the park, possible from the very start of the game, and explore her free-spirited connection with nature.

I plan to introduce many more Side Characters in future updates alongside the already planned content! For example, a lifeguard at the beach and some of the college girls you've already met during various quests, like Sharon.
