Healthbar & gadgets HUD preview

Decided to post not the most recent thing added, but still a spoiler-ish thing about few features game has (won't post it to twitter for now). 

Custom level and module logic can add extra bars there ^
As I mentioned before, it will be possible to hide it and show logical variables here. 

Just like before, I think of this game as an engine for other games too. But this time I think I have more skill at implementing such stuff.

Still working on game-server interaction logic when it comes to custom skins, permission access, permission access delegation to servers etc.

I believe if I will see example I will be able to implement it, but later since there seem to be other important things game needs to have. Rain and snow do exist in game already, these work good enough I think (slight performance impact especially in case of rain since it spawns particles when drops hit ground, though it would be possible to disable it in settings).

I'm exited to see what you have instore for us ^_^ Is it possible for PB3 to have that kind of weather environment though?

*Sigh* if only making a proper vehicle didn't take like a month to make :) (I mean 3D one with all the parts glowing, moving and being synced properly. It is quite different in 2D view like one Star Defenders 2D uses where new vehicle can be made in 1 day).

That's sounds really fun ^^ My thought behind the lightning would be two or three stages of a storm -- Cloudy > Rainy > Stormy (lightning + Rain) Would be very fun to be playing or flying with vehicles and boom a big lightning bolt hits the ground or goes through your aircraft to the ground :P

More or less yes, these are status effects that can be also applied to any rigid body. Both fire and freezing cancel each other, though cold has higher priority over fire. Snowflake grenade is actually a snowballs, they could be something like winter-only throwable grenade, could have freezing effect as well. Haven't tried changing weather, but for the sake of optimizations sky color is baked-into level's shadow map on load. I think it could be possible but it could at very least lag for most players when this happens unless it is just a brightness change. Weapon shown in one of gameplay videos does show lightning effect but so far it is only used as rail-like projectile trail.

Its really cool <3 are they also like effects? as in your character is cold or on fire? Kind on the same topic , can the match change weathers in the same match? Is there lightning / electricity in the game? :P

So far switching with F and H key, re-bindable. I can see how there could be added binds to select specific grenade type at some point. It all could be reworked into 3 grenade slots instead of scrolling too once it will be tested in case of Campaign and Multiplayer modes. For example, in Campaign, 3 (or more if more players want to play together?) main protagonists could have specific abilities including predefined grenade types they can use. In Multiplayer it could be separated with classes. But then again, maybe access to all grenades would be more preferable and in multiplayer it would be rather limited with specific map or gamemode. Turrets actually accept any equipped gun so far, which could be limited eventually.

Not sure what is that pale red part on the right side of the character health bar. Hm, that's a lot of grenades. How will we able to swith between them? I guess there will be wheel that opens by holding a button. I can recognize some of them. Shield, time warp, smoke, explosive, acid, ? , ? , virus, freeze, freezing (?) virus, lamp, fire, turret. Also I see that before usual grenades there is icon that points on the type of throwable gadget. Same for the turret grenade but there's only one item. I guess there may be more gadgets of that type.

Health regeneration cap, it permanently(?) goes down when player takes most kinds of damage (except for low and medium fall damage). Most probably it will be only specific for multiplayer player vs player modes.

Yo that's cool, is the desaturated red bar a limit to where you automatically heal?

Good good, Im liking that gadget list. It would be great to see a bunch of different grenades or tools to use in the campaign. Especially if there was a grenade that was a one time use virus pod bomb, I always enjoyed getting that weapon near the end of pb2, it would be nice to be able to buy a grenade that had the same payload earlier in the game.
