Wasteline Content Direction

So, I know it's been a while since my last post, but at this point I've run into a little bit of trouble with continuing Wasteline's development. After thinking about it for a while, I've decided that transferring the game to a different engine for the update will be for the best. Twine has an uncountable amount of limitations when it comes to developing the kind of game that Wasteline is, so I believe it'll be for the best to switch in this particular case.

The engine that I've chosen to move to is Godot, since I've done a good bit of development in it recently and it works well with tile-based maps. However, moving to a new engine has created a new problem (though it's a good one to have) in the fact that the game now has vastly more potential. Due to the fact that Godot will make it much easier to add content to the game, I'm at a bit of an impasse in regard to how much I want to do for the next update.

Thus, I decided that the best course of action would be to ask all of you what you think! I've put together a feedback form that will help me to understand what you all want to see from future content added to the game, and I'd really appreciate if some of you could take the time to fill it out. I haven't gone a ton of feedback on the game in general, so it would be super helpful to hear more about what everyone wants out of the game.

A quick note as well - The new engine will entirely fix all issues with the janky/laggy movement of the original, so there's no need to mention it in your feedback. I know that was a big complaint in the original, so the fact that it'll be fixed in Godot also helped push me towards making the switch!

If you're a little foggy on the specifics of Wasteline since it's been a while, I'd encourage you to go play the game again to refresh your memory, or to give it a shot if you haven't already.

And here's the link to the form!

It’ll be interesting to see how much of a difference a new engine makes for the game
