Ancora Bay's western hills are a true melting pot: off-duty sailors, craftsmen, bartenders, devotees... this is where they all converge. Meet a parade of interesting characters at The Renforth, then check in on the Gospel of Treachery over in the Black Pit. At any moment, you're not far from the colossal Corian HQ or the fancy Pink Quarter. This is where the cosmopolitan nature of Ancora Bay is most visible!
The Borough Guide
In this guide, we take a deep dive into a classic tavern in Ancora Bay: The Renforth, an eclectic establishment filled with quirky characters. Plenty of the NPCs you'll find within (halfling courtesan Lola, undead Transom elf Cabbadon, or poisoner Thitch) might just have a quest or two for you as well. After that, explore the Dee'p Bound, the primary faith of the Corians. Strange magics give wild powers to the faith's high priestess, and supersoldier cops now roam the city streets. Can you help the resistance forces disrupt the bizarre rituals creating these mutated orcs?

The highlight of this map is the bizarre stepwell "church" known as (surprise!) the Black Pit. This onyx-lined divot is home to many repenters and is the perfect spot for some weird magical combat. Further to the north, there's the rear of the People's Palace, the Renforth, and a number of workshops. When the carnival starts, you know it's time for a party.
Music
It's been a minute since we've given you a proper tavern tune. "The Renforth" is just that. Fiddles, plucked strings, and accordion give this lively jaunt the perfect atmosphere for bustling ale halls. The "(Island)" variant puts steel drums, Caribbean percussion, and trumpet in the center stage. Plus, Chief Couriers get a bonus track from Music d20's library: "With Garners Full of Grain (Island)." It's perfect for more celebratory tropical vibes.
