Empowered Warriors are heavily influenced by Wuxia genre of kung-fu mystical warriors and combat. The big take-away from the text where all half-elves are empowered, is that with the right training, almost everyone can become an empowered warrior. The human potential is not 1 in 20 but closer to 19 in 20.
