I'm sorry, I found a mistake in Alexander's leaf crown and have corrected it!
Chibi Alexander on the right is the usual Alexander lol. Alexander's helmet and armor are based on the Alexander Mosaic and Plutarch's Life of Alexander.
'(Alexander) was easily recognizable by his shield and by the rest of his helmet, which had wonderfully tall white plumes fixed to either side of it.' '[Alexander, at Gaugamela] then put on his helmet. He was already wearing the rest of his armor as he left his tent, a Sicilian belted tunic, and over this a double linen corselet (thorax) from the spoils of the Issos. His helmet, made by Theophilos, was of iron and gleamed like polished silver, and to it was fitted a gorget also of iron.' The above is from βFaces of Powerβ by Andrew Stewart. The Alexander mosaic image used in the reference sheet is a replica I took in Kyoto.
I drawn Hephaestion on the left. The drawing on the left is based on a relief excavated from Amphipolis. A Macedonian official of high rank stands before the altar holding a phiale. It is easy to see in the picture of the Academia .edu paper that this official's Linothorax appears to have Pteruges on his shoulders. As with the Alexander mosaic and etc., these examples seem to be rare.
I love Pteruges on their shoulders (influenced by Yoshikazu Yasuhiko), so I often draw Pteruges on their shoulders. Please understandπ Thank youπ

Some of the coloring is based on the warrior fresco of The tombs of the Bella Tumulus (not exactly the same). This warrior also has a very interesting and cool pose that I would like to draw someday (If only I weren't so tiredβ¦)

In the future, historical references and commentary, if any, will be made available to the public on a limited basis. Only artwork will be available in 1 month.
Please DO NOT REPOST this artwork (especially the reference sheet)!
Thank you for looking at my drawing!
