Yes thats the "true" form of the djinn. In my setting Genies used to be mortals, Djinn never were. Also Djinn are not necessarily bound to a master and do not need to grant a wish. Tho they find it difficult (not impossible) to use magic without a wish.

I tweaked the last page of the warm up comic with the two robbers who got turned into brass statuettes to add another page to round it out. And I've started the next warm up comic, Steiner's origin story.
