I recently watched Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence. The music and visuals are very wonderful!This is a secret gay romance movie about the atrocities and war crimes of the Japanese Imperial Army. It turns out that Takeshi Kitano is a great actor after all. I plan to go watch his new movie(Kubi/首) next!
Yonoi and Celliers could have loved each other if they had met in peaceful times. The fanart and fanfic of this work shows why modern AU is so popular.
