I quite understand the whole "it was just flashbacks no plot" but to be devils advocate. "what fun, it was no plot, just flashback" The 1st season was very constricted (and not in a bad way) by the book. the 2nd season gave us the opportunity to focus on aziraphale and crowley. Whether you think that is good or bad is up to opinion. I personally loved it, as I never found the tertiary characters that interesting in the 1st season. Hope you loved it in the broader sense.
