Love all the Wick movies, but it's important to remember that John is still a mass murderer. He's as bad all the other people in the movies.

Glad I finally joined you for a full movie and John Wick is the perfect one to watch a full movie with you! I just noticed this on the watch through with you guys. Go back and watch the scene in the beginning when John is making coffee and notice the design on the second coffee cup, the one John doesn't use that remains on the counter. Then, look at the design on the card he gets with the puppy. That's why he started to break down even before he read the card. The Continental Building is an actual building in New York near Wall St and is on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in the very early 1900s.

I am usually not into violent movies (aside from Mob Movies - like Good Fellas which I highly recommend). The world building with The Continental and it's rules, his back story with Helen and his friendships he had with Marcus, folks at the hotel and the mechanic just made this movie so much more than that. So good!!! Keanu trained extensively with guns and martial arts (kung-fu). There are some amazing videos of him training on YT.
