Love this movie and I loved your reaction to this. Being a Minnesotan myself, I can say as far as dealing with cold, it's something that is ingrained in us from a very young age. It's a mind set more than anything. The funny accent that they speak with in the movie has to do with Scandinavian genes. My late mother's side of the family is predominantly made up of Swedish and Norwegian blood. My mother spoke with the accent you hear in the movie. My dad's family is predominantly made up of German blood and no one on his side sounds like this. Just some information on the accent. I agree that you guys would love The Usual Suspects! That is a tremendous movie!

I vote more. Which is fine by me. And Jonathan Doe scares me more than Hannibal Lecter.

Love love O Brother Where Art Thou. I forgot that was done by the same people. It is a fantastic comedy.

Also if you want to see more another Coen Bros classic, got to checkout O Brother, Where Art Thou? One of the best comedies ever made starring George Clooney, Tim Blake Nelson, John Tuturro, and Holly Hunter. It is a very loose adaptation of The Odyssey and instead of having it during Greek times they do this in the Deep South during the great Depression. It’s a very fun ride.

By the way, this is actually not a true story. That’s just part of the Coen Bros. unique sense of humor. https://collider.com/is-fargo-based-on-a-true-story/

Loved your reaction! Others have suggestion the Usual Suspects, which is a great movie. Another thriller type story that is worth considering is Seven. Brad Pitt, Morgan Freeman, and Kevin Spacey (who is also in Usual Suspects). Has a similar disturbing/disgusting vibe as Silence of the Lambs had, maybe even more.

Kristin D

Raising Arizona is a good movie and it would be fun to watch your reaction.

Love this movie, but it should have come with a Warning for Blood and Violence. Frances McDormand won a well deserved Best Actress Oscar for her Role. Steve Buscemi started out as a NYC Firefighter. After 911 he returned to his former Unit and did 12 hour shifts helping look for survivors.

Christopher Puttre

One of my top 10 favorites of all time. Great reaction. Another movie you would love is, A simple plan with Bill Paxton, Billy Bob Thornton and Bridget Fonda. A movie plot that twists and turns in a way you don't expect keeps you on the edge of your seat when 3 men find a crashed light airplane with a bag of money in it puts friendship and brotherhood to the test. Please check that movie out. You will not be disappointed ❤️

Ya!

I second that, because I keep asking for Frailty myself a few times now.

This is the movie that made The Coen Brothers a household name. They're a top-notch writer director duo that have a lot of good films worth checking out. When you're in the mood for a western again, I liked their adaption of True Grit. But mostly I'll second the recommendations from Patty Estrada and Kristin D to do Raising Arizona, which is a comedy with Nicholas Cage and Holly Hunter that's just charming. If Amber's keen on the crime stories, The Usual Suspects is something she should put on the list. My personal favorite serial killer investigation film is Seven. I've recently recommended both as good titles to consider under the thriller genre. A film I don't think gets recommended as often as it should be is A Simple Plan, which might also appeal to you if you liked this. Should we worry about Jay with Amber watching Snapped? Because that show is 95% women murdering their husband. Watch your back if she starts taking notes, bro. Francis McDormand is married to the director, Joel Coen. So unsurprisingly, she ends up in a lot of his films. She's good in just about anything she's ever in. You've seen her on the channel as the mom in Almost Famous.

If you really liked Fargo, please give Frailty a try.

Kevin

I would love to see their reaction to Raising Arizona. Super funny.

Nice pick 👍🏼. I love Frances McDormand, and the Cohen Brothers make some good movies. Check out “Three Billboards Outside of Ebbing Missouri” if you liked her acting, she also won an Oscar for this. For more Cohen bothers, check out “No Country For Old Men” “Raising Arizona” or “True Grit”. Amber, I think you’d like Film Noir genre…so here are some suggestions “Chinatown” (1974 starring Jack Nicholson) “L.A Confidential” (1997) “Laura” (1944) and “The Usual Suspects” ( 1995). BTW, they made Fargo into a tv show, in case you’re interested.

Patty Estrada

Love this movie! Thanks guys!
