Really glad to hear that, I try to treat vocals like any other instrument, while still making sure it stays somewhat legible, so they get the same mixing treatment as any other instrument in my arsenal, for better or worse ^^; Thanks for that, we are doing well, and I'm fine. This is definitely a song I've had bouncing around in my head for a while, kind of just dreading having to work on it, but it needed to come out in some way or another, and I feel better now that I've gotten to put it into words and music Edit: Wasn't able to finish my reply... 2025-06-23 10:13:21 +0000 UTCThank you very much, happy to hear you're excited for the originals, and I'm glad the song resonated with you :o The vocals are primarily synthesized using various voice packs and Synthesizer V (Vocaloid-like, so it's basically recorded samples and phonemes arranged to make voices, so more similar my other sampled instruments, and more importantly, predates AI voices) My voice is layered in with the others on this one though to give the whispers and harmonies a bit more depth as well :o

It really melts together with the song in a beautiful way to create such a bittersweet atmosphere and I am absolutely in awe of the song. You're truly a master of your craft (as if that wasn't obvious enough) and I genuinely can't really put into words how wonderful this piece is. I hope the best for you and your family, if this song is any form of personal it sounds like you're going through a lot. Remember though that you are incredible. I'm always so excited when you share another original ^^ The lyrics and music do a great job at conveying a melancholic feeling, one I can relate to very much. I'd love to know who's voices we're hearing. I've noticed you using vocals in your tracks before, yet I'm not sure if it's your voice or someon else's.
