Hi Everyone!
I hope you are doing well and have creative energy ๐ค Fortunately, it began to come back to me slowly.
100 HEADS CHALLENGE: Recently I got a box of Faber-Castell's matte pencils from my partners - Paper Concept. Finally found time and energy to try them โ๏ธ I really like the matt finish of the sketches, which do not reflect the light like traditional pencils. The box contains the following hardnesses: 2B, 4B, 6B, 8B, 10B and 12B. Although these are soft pencils that leave a black mark, they seem a bit harder than traditional graphites and smudge less, which I consider a big plus. Thus, even dark values โโcan be applied quite precisely ๐
For the colored sketches, I used Karin Markers to apply the first areas of color (skin and hair), then finished them with crayons. I put Karin Markers on the ceramic plate first, and then I used a brush with water to get a more subtle effect. I recorded some of these trials so I'll post a video soon ๐ฟ
ART WORKSHOPS FOR CHILDREN FROM UKRAINE: The workshops last week were great ๐ At the beginning it was a bit chaotic and I felt a bit uncomfortable (I expected that as an introvert ๐) but soon after I found a common ground with the kids. Some were shy, so they needed a little more time, and some seemed to not even notice that we speak different languages ๐ It was so cute! Here is an example of an exercise that we were doing:

I took the idea from @enya.lis and her Instagram reel ๐
I filled the paper with "faces", actually with the letters "U", and then we drew the characters and their expressions. We were also creating cards for their moms, painting masks and just drawing animals. Next time I will try to take more pictures ๐ฅฐ
Have a lovely rest of the week!
Hugs ๐งก
