Atlyss Alpha 0.1.9b Releasing 8/6/2023
Added 2023-08-02 21:00:10 +0000 UTCThank you for your ongoing support! A new build of the game will be releasing this sunday (8/6/2023). I've been trying to get builds out weekly but it has been difficult to do so, so I do apologize for the bi-weekly releases.
Some things to expect:

- New Playable Race: Byrdles. This is the final playable race for the game. Now it's time for me to start planning out lore / story about every race for the future...

- New WIP map "Shamu Pass"

- Revised stat system with better EXP progression, attack / defense calculation, etc
- Skills now have better damage output calculations

- Updated UI fidelity
- New Enemy types

- Enemies now display an "attack indicator" before their hitbox shows up to better plan your combat strategies.

- Weapon Equips now have damage ranges as opposed to base attack stat upgrades
- Evasion is revised, should work a lot better for level gap difference modifiers. (Example: Hitting an enemy 5 levels above you gives less hit chance)
- Attack and Ranged Attack are now merged together as Physical Attack Damage.
- Stats no longer have short acronym names (ATK, DEF) and are fully spelled out now.
- Starting health is pushed down from 50 to 25.
- Starting Mana is pushed down from 25 to 15.
- You now gain Defense for every level alongside the Vitality Attribute bonus.
- Elemental Resistances are now fully implemented.
- Attribute points acquired each level are pushed down from 5 to 3.

- Character creation screen updated. Color tab now allows you to customize hair and misc. colors more than just Hue.
- Kubolds, Changs, and Byrdles now have voices.

- Double jumping added.

- Players now frequently pulse red when low on health.
