Dev Diary - QA with Hikiera

  Decided to change things up and do something new and fun. Our QA lead answered some questions for everyone. We did this as a way for everyone to get to know them a little better. If you end up liking this please leave a comment. We will do more of these in the future with other members of the team, and maybe... just maybe I might appear in one.

 First introduce yourself 

 Hi. I am Hikiera. Big fan of gaming in general. I've played everything from fps, rpg, mmo's, real time and turn-based strategy games. 

 How did you find out about Duplicity? 

 Actually through a website. It is actually the kind of game I was looking to try out with an interesting protagonist that's not just a guy trying to get into girls pants. Also with some comedy and lightheartedness. I joined the discord server and that is how i got involved with development. 

 What is your role on the team? 

 I am the lead Quality assurance member of the development team. I help make sure the final copy is ready. 

 What is your all time fav game? 

 This is a difficult question to answer since every genre of game is different. I can say the best experience I had with friends was in Guild wars (the first one). I made so many friends that impacted my life. But wow I have many favourites ha 

 How are you passing time during this world wide pandemic? 

 Eh...playing games. Surviving and stretching a paycheck 

 Who is your fav character in the game and why? 

 My favourite character is actually the main character. Which is new to me. Most times i don't really feel for the main character. My favourite NPC character is Candace and I can't wait to see more of her in the game. 

 What part of the world are you from? and what is something interesting from there. 

 I live in South Africa. Beautiful country but for it's other problems. I can say the food here is interesting. We have some dishes you won't find anywhere else in the world. 

 Fav food? 

 Damn that's a hard question. Spaghetti bolognese? Chocolate cake...Malva pudding. Don't get me started on food haha

  What a fun fact about you? 

 I have a PhD. Yeah I took the time to get an education. Do I regret it? That's the question lol 

 If you were in full control of Duplicity what would you do with the game? 

 I have talked to Fantasmagore about his plans and I am very happy with his ideas. We have a similar vision for the game. It is just about getting the content out swiftly. I would love there to be minigames in the game. Something that does challenge the player and they get a reward for completing it with some story. Yes Duplicity at it's core is an adult game but I would want it to be so much more than just an adult game. 

 Is Fantasmagore a god? 

 Only on Fridays :D 

 Would you rather fight 1 horse sized duck or 100 duck sized horses? 

 1 horse sized duck. I can't keep track of so many small things running around it would freak me out. Plus all I can think about in the end is the big duck roast at the end of the tunnel <3 

 If you could take one thing with you to an island that you would be stuck on what would you take? 

 A loaded gun 

 Why did you join the duplicity Dev team? 

 Hmm... well at first I was just trying to be helpful and test the game. Now that I have got to see the inner workings of development I want to do what I can to make sure a good game comes out right. It is also a great feeling to be part of something and see the reward of having played a part in it. 

 Whats your fav part of Duplicity? 

 when the main character punches out Mr Trady because he grabs his ass. Gets me every time i see it. Ha
