I was reading some of The Red Book on my lunch break and yeah, it’s as you said. It was written when Jung was in his 40’s and had acquired all his accolades. I think the journey into the deepest parts of his psyche kinda ‘broke’ him and he found things, frightening things, divine things, that he hadn’t integrated into himself.
It’s really interesting, but I’m also skipping around the book.
