I loved your reaction to this movie as well as the first one. The moment that Stoick saved his son, that bit got to me too, so much so that I wrote a fanfiction story on Fanfiction.net entitled "The Shield" where things played out a little differently. However, nobody can deny that this movie was a powerful bit of storytelling, and I'm glad that you enjoyed it. Now that you've seen this there's the remaining movie How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World. You could go and see it next or, if you like, there's three Dragons animated series that make for excellent watching: Riders of Berk, Defenders of Berk, and Race to the Edge. All three of these take place between How to Train Your Dragon 1 & 2, back when Stoick was still around and Hiccup was still growing into his role as Dragon Master and as a leader. Of course there's a lot of episodes if you take them all into account (100+ episodes) but they're well worth your time IMHO.
