I've taken a paid contract to work on a TTRPG that will last for 4 months, starting in May. It will be a printed product and will feature a ton of artwork. It's a great opportunity and I have to admit, I need the money. Unfortunately, the company does not want to advertise that a NSFW artist is working for them. I'm asking that you do not look for the client nor share any information if you find out.
This does not mean I'll stop working on the comic. I love it here, and I will not stop. But it does mean I'll have to slow down to something more reasonable like 20-40 hours a week on the comic instead of what I've been currently doing. I will finish 1 lore entry and 1 more round for the voted Illustration before reducing the work load. I've listed below a few different options on how that will look like. It's up to you. And I've set it so you can vote on multiple times. Voting will conclude this Sunday at noon.
And finally, if you are in line for a commission you have my promise that they will get completed. The current rate of a commission taking 1 or 2 weeks each will continue until all of them are finished.
Option A (just the entrée)
- 3 pages a week - 20-40 hours not including writing the script
- All other options such as lore entries and voter illustrations cease
- WIP images expanded to $6 tier - $9 tier becomes redundant
Option B (less portions - keep the sides)
- 2 pages a week 13-25 hours not including writing
- A schedule around creating illustrationsweek 1: lore entry 20+ hours
week 2: illustration 10-20 hours
week 3: rest - illustration voting sketches 5 hours and writing lore entry
Option C (less portions and a salad)
- 2 pages a week 13-25 hours not including writing
- Lore Entry 20+ hours - 1x every 2 weeks
Option D (half the entrée)
- 2 pages a week 13-25 hours not including writing
- All other options such as lore entries and voter illustrations cease
- WIP images expanded to $6 tier - $9 tier becomes redundant
Option E (starvation diet)
- temporarily shut down the comic and Patreon/Subscribestar for 3-4 months
- will have a chance to return to the normal schedule faster

2023-04-28 02:18:33 +0000 UTCI’m voting A, because that’s what I’d enjoy most. But, echoing Ghilz, if working double is going to burn you out, please do “option E”! Go get paid and come back when you’re done. :) I’m happy to wait if it means a happier artist with more time and energy to dedicate to their art. Be honest with yourself as this progresses and don’t be afraid to step back from the comic.
