So let's actually go into the lust attack in detail. How does it work? How do we explain hentai logic in a way that makes sense and not TOO cringe?

Much like the Prisoner, the monsters guide and give a catalyst for their prey to change themselves into forms that they require. Whether than need is as reproductive seed-beds, a vampiric need for psychic sexual energy, sustenance liquid production, or custom crafted labors; mortals and especially humans are uniquely valuable in how little effort it takes to turn them.
