Ecstatic to finally be able chime in on something I actually know about since I'm an actual long haul truck driver A semi is the kind of truck that has the large detachable 53 foot trailer. they also don't require a bed to count as a semi, they just need to be capable of: A. hooking up and dropping off the trailer B. having a maximum carrying capacity of 80,000lbs. C. have an air based braking system All of these have exceptions but what was described as Optimus Prime is the proper definition of a semi truck. Thank you guys for all the good content you make. It makes driving 8+ hours a day a lot more fun.

Another acceptable name would be a Big Rig. 3: according to goggle "The semi truck and trailer are both used for long-distance deliveries of heavy cargo and for hauling large equipment and products such as cars and freight. However, the lorry is classed as an LGV or Light Goods Vehicle because of its smaller size and goods capacity."

P.S. im native english and work for a insurance compnay and thats what we call them
