What if Astorath isn't person causing the black rage amongst his brothers, but because he's somewhere where it's supposed to happen, ie: a big battle with probably lots of casualties, what if it's like a self fulfilling prophecy? He goes where the black rage is going to happen, because it needs to happen. His brothers see him, know he's there and someone's going to fall to it, and when the tide of battle gets desperate, one of them just has a moment of self sacrifice. They know he's there to end it if they go too far, and in this way, they can save more of their brothers from dying if they just let go. So yes, he could tell the black rage was coming here, and no he didn't cause it per say, but his presence allowed for them to say "it'll be fine, he's got this, it just must have been me. Farwell my brothers, I'm off to be Sangy" and then technically he was right to be there.

2023-09-14 01:30:32 +0000 UTC🇨🇦 I know we always talk about Blood Angels and Khorne but this episode made me think about how the Blood Angels could actually fit somewhat well with some of the other gods as well (accepting inevitable death and total love of Sangy and the BAs with Nurgle, the eternal hope to keep going and search for change with Tzeentch and when fallen to Thirst and Rage and some artistic frenzy they dip into Slaanesh too) Which actually reminded me of a convo I saw a while ago about Horus gunning to off Sanguinius so hard during the Heresy not because of You Represent Everything Good About Humanity and the Imperium BUT could have possibly been more You're Perfect For Chaos Too and If You Don't Die They're Gonna Want You Instead of Me!! Just imagine the absolute carnage you could do with the Word Bearers singing Sanguinius' praises lol
