He describes the rise and fall of a religious order following the dark God Terminus, a being whose essence pervaded every corner of the cosmos, all realities and worlds contain a hint of his evil. For that was what it was, evil, destruction, chaos. The end of everything and the decay of time itself. Terminus was the cosmos itself, the embodiment of all evil, all that destroys, the personification of a cycles end. There used to be many in this religious order, but now only Hyness, Officiant of Doom remains. Heresy struck the hearts of the old guard and in their weakness they shattered Terminus, sealing his essence in the hearts of stars and scattering it throughout distant worlds. His heart ripped from him and sealed in a reality mirroring our own like a shadow over a cracked mirror, hidden away from any seeking to find it. His body left a slavering, mindless husk, wandering the cosmos seeking something to fill the gaping void where it's very being used to be. The polluted remains of the battle field festered like a rotting wound in reality, containing the name and knowledge of the dark God. His mind trapped in a black hole at the center of the universe, stuck with his failures, waiting to be freed. To contain him, the traitors shed their blood, their magic, their bodies and their very beings. Hyness finds souls matching the essences of the fallen traitors and teaches them the old magiks, founding the Jambastion Religion anew far after the fall of the old guard. He teaches his now apprentices a dark spell, to shed blood and being once more, shattering even the soul to attempt to break the chains that bind his awful master. Basically he kidnaps orphans and raises them in a suicide cult to free Termina. Kirby lore go crazy and I fucking love it

I'm thinking either related to the Salamanders, for reasons I'll get to soon, or maybe related to the Minotaurs for that greek vs Persian aesthetic. The Immortals in history were designed to look like an endless army, where you kill one, but another that looks exactly like the guy you killed comes up to fight. They also had backups, so they would perpetually always at 10,000 troops after every battle. My idea is that they give regular guardsmen suits, like the ones in Starcraft, that look like Space Marine power armor, while also carrying Space Marine weapons, so the enemy doesn't know which one are actual marines, and which one is fake, until you get to close to regret what just happened. This is why they could be Salamanders, because they would be the only ones who care to bring an average man up to a higher level. A way that you could do Emperor's Children is by introducing what happened on Isvan III. Because the Traitors still had loyalists in their ranks that needed to be cut out. This can also introduce the man who could be the reason why we don't see Fulgrim today. Rylanor, the Ancient of Rights. The Ancient Awaits.

It's an older Rock space-opera(ish) album by Klaatu titled "Hope". Keep the base of the mechs pretty much the same, high-tech sleek and clean. But over that add things the pilots added after the fact: armor plates, carry bags, netting, the whole nine. Like a ww2 tank in a way The reason I say this is twofold: it keeps the Tau looking close to how they are now which plenty of people DO like, and has brought new people into the hobby because of this. But it also tells a story of leadership that is naive, hopefull, or making sure EVERYTHING looks like they have it all under control. But these pilots and warriors are finding out in the field that the galaxy is much larger than them and they arent prepared, and have to make modifications on the fly. A story of clean goody-two-shoes from a propaganda state getting their boots filthy because they have to wade into the grimdark themselves
