Hello everyone!
I am very happy to present you my next BETA version. :)
As announced some time ago, I only planned certain features after the final update of Sports Interactive - so now ;)
The main focus for this month is a more dynamic game world and more realistic finances, especially in lower leagues of big nations.
For ALPHA-users:
There were slight changes in finances (sponsors in Spain) + youth ratings (slight decrease for top nations). Both changes aren't really visible in the first 10 years.
List of (main)-changes:
1. More dynamic sponsors
As in FM22, I have now also adjusted the sponsorship behavior for FM23 in such a way that larger clubs can also fall more severely if they continue to fail.
Up to now, this was not possible with an invisible "rubber band", since real sponsorship contracts are often extended within a very similar framework, for eternity.
I have now made this more dynamic again. The effect is already (partially) visible in the uploaded May save.
2. Major improvements for China
China was Sports Interactive's main focus for the last update. There have certainly been improvements, but China is still unplayable for me.
The finances are sometimes still much too high (at least not as extreme as before). On the other hand, the salaries of Chinese players are too low, which makes the financial problem worse. Various changes in the areas of sponsors, finances in general, youth & training facilities, etc. were necessary.
With these adjustments, China is finally playable for me!
3. Major overhaul for lower leagues in France, Spain, Italy, the Netherlands,Turkey, Portugal & Belgium
In all these nations I have made some major changes. The main goal is that both the salaries and the general strength of the teams are reasonably suitable (average CA of the top 16 per team).
In some nations, the teams in the lower leagues are far too strong (e.g. Portugal), while in others they are too weak (e.g. France). I was not aware of this to this extent until now, as my focus was primarily on leagues 1-2 (sometimes also 3). No adjustments were necessary in other large nations (England, Germany, Brazil, Argentina).
For future updates I also plan to expand this "step by step" for the next smaller nations based on playable leagues in my different setups (1. step all leagues in the small setup, then medium/large/very large)
4. Improved reputation system
I've improved my system on how to affect club/player reputations to get more realistic results. This will result in changes to club reputations, league reputations & awards.
Much of this was also part of the adjustments in the lower leagues. I'm trying to improve this system even further so that I can also make changes in line worldwide. But this is a long-term project due to the amount of factors needed to take into account.
5. Minor fixes
As always, I've also made smaller fixes in various other areas. This time it was mainly to get everything done for the latest update.
That would be roughly what this update contains :)
Miscellaneous:
There will probably not be an XXL simulation this month, as parts of the changes are already present in the May simulation. I need both PC and laptop 100% for smaller tests for the upcoming projects. However, a smaller simulation showing the changes in the lower leagues and in China is planned.
IMPORTANT
As always, delete all previous files first. All files needed are in the download-link!
Enjoy!
Cheers
David
