August 2024 Newsletter (+Rewards sent)

Hi, all! Where the fuck have I been?!?

This August has fired past me with the speed of a rocket, but I've been holding on. I knew that it would be busy, but didn't know exactly how busy, otherwise I would have braced you all for my short absence.

In short, I haven't been home for most of it, and the back to school rush coupled with a late summer cold for the whole family meant that things kind of fell apart in a lot of ways. However, I am here now to let you in on what the hell is going down this month along with a couple other things.

Rewards: I have sent out the official Patreon rewards. For those who are new, these are freebies you can get from me as you accumulate pledges over time. This process is not automated, so if you think I missed you, comment below. Messaging me triples the time it takes to figure out if I missed you and I might not see it for weeks.

Audiobooks: Master Class 4 and Radley's Christmas for Horny Monsters are officially over on Audible (or through Amazon). Christmas here and Master Class 4 here.

HFHM: The next chapter is almost done and I hope to post it by this weekend. While I haven't been in my office, I have been busting my ass to make sure I keep up on writing whenever I can.

Master Class 5: Is roughly halfway done and will likely be out in early September.

Halls of Magic 2: is roughly a third of the way done and will hit maybe late September/early October.

Dead and Horny 2: came back from the editor, which means it will get one more pass from me and then her before it's ready for publication.

Island for Horny Monsters: should be back to me by month's end for its copyedits.

Patreon: Okay, buckle up, because this one is complicated and not my fault.

I found out two hours ago that Patreon is getting ready to boot the Pay-Per Chapter billing I have setup. Why? Because Apple wants to charge you all 30% whenever you subscribe through the Patreon App on your phone (the one you download in the App Store), and they can't figure out how to do this for people like me who aren't on the Subscription model. I have until November of next year before the change gets forced through.

NONE OF THIS SHOULD EFFECT YOU, but in the next year, I will be forced to restructure things to approach this business from a monthly subscription model, so expect some slow transitions as I drag my damned feet.

Autographed Copies: The last books have been shipped to us from the printer and we will have paperback and hardcover books for sale through WetLeafPress.com in the very near future!

This Fall: I'm not really sure where the winds will take me for the rest of this year, but rest assured that I am still focusing on HFHM. The current book has given me more difficulty than others, but I feel like I've mostly bounced back from a lot of the crap I went through earlier this year (illnesses, Ai's death, post-Covid brain fog), and the most recent chapter felt a lot smoother coming out of my brain.
