🏙️ Designing Paralives' Town + Showcase of a Building
Added 2025-01-31 14:26:23 +0000 UTCHi, it’s Alex!
When Paralives releases in Early Access later this year, your household will move into a carefully crafted town that we’re currently designing. Today, I’m excited to guide you through our creative process for the town's design and Léa will show you the first building we’ve made for it.
🎯 Our Goals with the Design of the Town
As we work more and more on the town, we’ll be able to share sneak peeks with you as it takes shape. To start off, I wanted to dive into some of our goals with the design of our town.
1️⃣ Explorable open-world town: We really want to encourage the player to get out of their house and visit the city. To do that, we plan on having activities to do around town, places where you can meet people, shops, restaurants, workplaces and more. As a reminder, the town will be open world and there won’t be any loading screens when visiting different lots.
2️⃣ Human-sized city: The density of the town shouldn’t be too low to make sure your Paras can visit various lots in a given day without wasting too much time traveling. For instance, it shouldn’t take more than 30-60 minutes for a Para to walk to work or to a shop otherwise they will lose a big part of their day walking around. Cars will be added later on after the release but we still feel like a walkable city will be fun to explore as there will be many places to visit within a short distance.
3️⃣ A pretty town with a history: We want it to be somewhere you would love to visit as a tourist in real life. It should be filled with interesting locations, landmarks, and beautiful architecture and you should be able to feel that the city has an interesting past as well.
4️⃣ Have various lot types: We know that some players would like to play in a townhouse while others prefer bigger suburban houses. Some players like to build houses from the ground up while others prefer to establish their household in a premade house. As such, we will have various sizes of lots and a good range of prebuilt houses available for you in the town.
🏙️ The Layout and Identity of the Town
The town will be split into small districts, the two main ones being:
Old town: A densely populated, European-inspired area with townhouses made of stone and a small castle that was built when the city was first established many centuries ago.
Some of the reference pictures we’ve collected to illustrate what we aim for with the Old Town district.
Industrial: During its history, the town went through an industrial era where factories and houses made of bricks were built. However, since then, some buildings have been abandoned while others were renovated into modern lofts.
Inspiration for the industrial district.
The map of the different districts of the town, each represented by a different color. As everything with the town, it is still a work in progress and subject to change. We’re eager to share more details about each district in the coming months!

A small portion of a 2D map we’re using to design the town. It establishes the layout of the streets, lots and points of interest. Each small cell is 1x1 meter and buildings are shown in yellow.
To give you an idea of the size we aim to have for the town, this small section of the map containing a few buildings takes up this much space in the whole town. We will have about 50 to 70 lots in total among which some will be public like parks and shops while others will be residential lots that you can buy or that are occupied by Townie characters.
🏡 Showcase: An Old Town House
Hello, everyone. Léa here to provide a closer look at a first house from the Old Town district. Chloé and I worked together to make sure this district has a strong and unique identity. Despite the good amount of objects made for the game so far, we still needed some new ones to convey the idea of historical buildings, so we worked hard to add as many as possible!
The first step is always to find references. For the Old Town, we drew inspiration from Québec’s history and wanted to represent a fortified town that could have been a trading post during the 17th century. With this idea in mind, we wanted buildings with a strong structure that were well maintained that could have belonged to merchants in the past, and that now look picturesque.

The sketch was drawn by Chloé before starting the build. It serves as a guideline for the new objects we need to create and the composition of the build.
Here is the house we came up with! To test the versatility of our objects, Chloé also built two additional houses to help set up the build in a neighborhood:

Townhouses with stone walls and shutters on the windows are typical of the architecture style we are aiming for.
Here is a look at our references for this project:
Front view of the building with a larger view of the street.
Top-down view of the neighborhood with a better view of the roofs.
Side view of the townhouse to show off the wood extension that, as we can imagine, was added later on by one of the many owners this house had during its history.
Ready for a closer look? We put a lot of small details to convey the idea of a realistic street, here are some of them:
Closed-off windows are often seen on old buildings. At some point in time, houses were taxed based on the number of windows you had, so it was an easy way to avoid taxes!
We have some small flags representing the town’s colors.
There are loose electrical cables on the wall, probably added when cable TV started getting popular
Metal brackets in an S shape are very common in stone buildings. They help keep the structural integrity of the wall by holding the stones in place.
On the corner of the house, we have some customizable street name signs.
An old drinking water fountain next to the left building which would have been used when running water was not yet available in homes.
To help make the town feel alive, there are some scaffolding and traffic cones on the right (the orange drums an homage to our own hometown of Montréal, where you can find them everywhere)
We started work on some traffic and parking signs!
Close view of the corner of the house with all its little details.
Close view of the structural brackets, the scaffolding and traffic cones. You can also see the No Parking signs and new wrought-iron double doors.
That’s it for this week! I hope you liked this post and that it helped you imagine what its Old Town district might look like!🙂
Have a nice weekend!

I wonder if you already have a name for the city/world? :-)

2025-11-02 13:39:13 +0000 UTCthis is just my opinion, but the town's streets look busy and repetitive. maybe make the bricks bigger or have less contrast between them and the mortar? or less to no mortar at all?

2025-04-18 14:57:33 +0000 UTCInterior wise - please please make it possible to create Harry Potter style under the staircase cupboard room. Or in the TV show Charmed - there is bathroom/closet under the stairs. Even if it’s not in early access please consider it. Thank you

2025-04-08 09:49:32 +0000 UTCTwo thoughts: In that blue area below Old Town, there could be some sort of lake or river for fishing or maybe even swimming (?) I don't know, just ideas. And second thought/wish: Please make the townies have backstories and relationships with each other, and actually put that into the relationships in them. For example, two families could be rivals, so the townies would have negative friendship, but a young man from one family is in love with a young woman from the other, so the two would have a level of romance.

2025-02-14 14:40:32 +0000 UTCWow, this is all I've ever wished for! I love all that will come together, industrial, old town, rural and forest. <3 My dream are only about 3-5 worlds, more are overwhelmig for me. And I really hoped for one old village, with a vegetable market and farms with horses and one New York/Paris inspired big City. This is all I want. And maybe up to 3 more worlds, maybe one that reminds of Japan and one that is inspired by oriental places. And to see this town so far is a dream come true! Thank you so much!!! <3 <3 <3

2025-02-06 04:44:17 +0000 UTCI love this!! I'm really happy with the aesthetic you've chosen, and as a fan of run down, industrial builds, it's good to know everything won't be shiny and clean and contemporary. I really like you pointing out the town density, as some of my biggest issues with other open world life simulators is just the travel time. The details you've added make the world feel very real and lived in, and I'm really excited for the chance to build in it!

2025-02-05 19:16:55 +0000 UTCSo mad I chose last week to miss my payment, what a post! I’m just imagining putting all my Victorian peasants in the old town and the richer ones in different districts, I love the way y’all decided to split it and I didn’t see it coming!

2025-02-05 16:15:23 +0000 UTCThat tease is looking fantastic! There's already so much charm, character, and culture in just that small build, it gives me absolute confidence you guys will nail the feel of the town. I love that it's influenced more towards the European castle town vibes. There's soul in that architectural style just not found in the American style which has become so standard and bland (speaking as an American).

2025-02-04 03:24:30 +0000 UTCplease build in some teleport, its nice to go in town and explore areas, but it is a kick in the ass if you have to run for 30min every time to work or to pub. For all who dont want it a switch in the settings should do. Bicycle. I cant wait for early access.

2025-02-03 16:25:38 +0000 UTCthe aesthetics of the world you are trying to create definitely accomplishes the cozy atmosphere you all envisioned Paralives would have and it also helps give the game a unique identity. later down the line, i hope that someone good at building can add in a seedy underbelly section of town when the world editing tools come out. Imagine confronting Paras with shady behavior in dark alleyways. the excitement kills me!

2025-02-03 14:49:51 +0000 UTCYou guys are doing a marvelous job with the attention to details and nostalgic feel. To be able to play will be even more special to watch the process of making this game!!!!

2025-02-02 14:16:03 +0000 UTCThe Old Town area looks beautiful, but now I want to see what the Industrial area looks like too, with the detail in the Old Town, I can just imagine what you all will do with the Industrial area. I love how there is some dirt from rain water falling along the sides of the buildings, making it look like a real place where people live and not just a too clean set with nothing much to it.
Clara M Johnson
2025-02-02 08:27:24 +0000 UTCI think making the core (initial town) a walkable European-style city makes a ton of sense practically. And will remind me of my trips to Paris at the same time.
Brainiax
2025-02-02 07:34:02 +0000 UTC"A densely populated, European-inspired area with townhouses made of stone and a small castle that was built when the city was first established many centuries ago." YES. Honestly, all of this has me unbearably excited. The little details are just.... *chef's kiss* Can't wait for this game, man.

2025-02-02 02:56:37 +0000 UTCI love it so so so much. That's literally the perfect town in my eyes (both for the game setting and in real life). I love the variety of styles and areas which for sure will maximise the storytelling potential and will play into different tastes. And I love how it'll ad extra gameplay opportunities. Obviously there will be different things to do in the docks, different in the old town and something else in the forests. Plenty of easter eggs and secrets to hide (while supernaturals won't be in the game, I wish there were some easter eggs about them, like mermaid tail in the waves, legend of a princess in the castle, witch's hut in the woods, without the actual gameplay). I also love how you're drawing from your own experience. It's gonna feel way more honest to explore this world because you actually know what an old European or a Canadian tows look and feel like. I have some suggestions/wishes still. For the castle, I suggest using a Hohenzollern Castle as an inspiration. If you want to keep it French, I suggest Chateau de Pierrefonds, or if you want to stay French and small, may I interest you in Chateau de Castlenaud-la-Chapelle. I think all of them perfectly capture the fairytale and grand feeling the word castle brings to your mind. If you're willing to deviate from just French/Canadian inspiration for the old town and rural areas, I think Renaissance townhouses in Zamość and Gdańsk, Poland are absolutely stunning. You can also maybe play with Brick Gothic architecture? Brick doesn't have to be industrial and was the most common material (apart from wood) in Central and Northern Europe in the medieval times due to the lack of quarries. And traditional Slavic wooden houses would look beautiful in the rural setting. Thank you for listening to my shameless pitch, and the town already looks absolutely spectacular.

2025-02-01 21:50:48 +0000 UTCSo cool that the city won't be one uniform style but will have districts of various heritage and styles. Will sure add to your Parafoolks' history.

2025-02-01 20:28:08 +0000 UTCI love the feel and vibe of the town. The townhouse looks gorgeous! Can’t wait to see all the areas fleshed out.

2025-02-01 17:42:59 +0000 UTCI'm curious. Will it be possible for people with stronger computers to increase the size of the town somewhat if they want to? (like maybe to something comparable to the size of Sunset Valley in The Sims 3?) Although it might not be necessary to make the town that big since lots can be packed more tightly together. So I guess a better question is would it be possible to increase the town size so it can fit maybe 90-100 lots instead of 50-70.
Dizzardy
2025-02-01 17:35:27 +0000 UTCI would love if there was a bus going round the map personally 🥰 or trams! I feel as though the map may be a bit too small for trains. Maybe if we get other towns in the future to travel in between them? That would be great. The town station could just be decorative for now and functional later
Maxx
2025-02-01 17:27:21 +0000 UTCA crazy idea I suggested once for Life By You was that you could create a building and then have it be built slowly over time. So a construction site with scaffolding would appear (and have a construction career where the construction workers would go to that lot for their job) So, I guess it's free for Paralives to take now if you want it. :p
Dizzardy
2025-02-01 17:22:59 +0000 UTCI haven't heard anything about them using dummy buildings like in The Sims 4. I'm pretty sure every building can be entered/used. I think the main thing is that jobs will be rabbit holes and not open.
Dizzardy
2025-02-01 17:13:01 +0000 UTCIt's cool to see a screenshot that's (kinda, I know it's a work in progress) of the actual town we'll be playing in. It's definitely making early access this year feel more real.

2025-02-01 17:07:29 +0000 UTCCant wait to see the other areas fleshed out 😍 the execution of this ones architecture is already looking so detailed and lived-in. I wonder if any of these buildings are planned to have apartments in them or will be home lots we can move into in general? How many of the buildings will be just shells/set-dressing, if any?

2025-02-01 14:57:36 +0000 UTCYesss I love this idea. Kinda like fast travel since I think cars will not be in the early access release! 🫶🏾💗

2025-02-01 11:49:51 +0000 UTCEverything's just perfect! 🥰 One point I'd like to touch on is the human-sized city goal. Do you think it would be an integrable idea to add simple train stations as rabbit holes in each district? Your Para could just disappear into the station and reappear at the chosen location. This could make traveling between districts faster, especially on busy days with lots to do. Just a thought—otherwise, I couldn’t be happier!

2025-02-01 11:31:17 +0000 UTCI'm so hyperventilerade to see the town when it's finnished! It would be amazing if you could add butterflies ore fireflies in the game. ❤️❤️❤️ keep up the amazing work you guys. I have so much faith in you and this game! 😊❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

2025-02-01 10:58:22 +0000 UTCWill I be able to move my Paras in one of the houses you're building in the old town, or are these just "for show" and you can "use" only houses in a specific residential area? And, this is perhaps a silly question, but can we freely enter in any building you're creating (even if we are "invading" someone else's house) or are houses locked if your character is not living there (this would be more realistic for sure, but at the same time I would like to explore the houses!)? Are all buildings furnished inside or some of them are just the façade?
Chiara
2025-02-01 10:08:31 +0000 UTCI am completely in love with the old town, and I can't wait to play!

2025-02-01 08:01:23 +0000 UTCI'm not entirely sure how it would work, but I wonder if there would be ways to implement a custom content feature to this too, to add some replayability to the collections feature. So you could say, download custom collections uploaded by other users. Maybe people could design their own collections of gnomes for example, and from there upload them to the database of custom collections, so people could add them to their own games. Not sure, I think there's a number of ways a sort of "digital geocache" feature could be implemented.

2025-02-01 03:59:43 +0000 UTCOut of all the farming type games we have, while I often quickly get tired of the repetitive mechanics (I don't play them much any more - they're all pretty similar), I NEVER get sick of the "find and fill the museum" kind of gameplay. I would LOVE to have that in Paralives, but I also love to play families through many generations. I'm not sure how that would mix, in terms of the "if it's found, it's found" thing that goes also with it, but I would LOVE it if you found a way for every Para to rediscover stuff! That was one of my favourite things in The Sims 3! <3

Alex Massé
2025-01-31 22:26:49 +0000 UTCThat would be a cool detail!
Alex Massé
2025-01-31 22:25:03 +0000 UTCYes! You can build directly next to the edge of the lot so this allows you to build townhouses
Alex Massé
2025-01-31 22:24:21 +0000 UTCYou can only sculpt the terrain within the boundaries of your lot unless you activate a cheat which removes the restriction and allows you to sculpt anywhere you want. Many lots won't be flat and will be on a hill and you will be able to sculpt the terrain as you want or simply build your house on the hill as is. Every building automatically cuts a hole in the terrain so you can build on a hill without having to sculpt the terrain at all. If your house is partly into the ground, there will be a hole in the terrain made automatically so that the terrain doesn't appear inside your house
Alex Massé
2025-01-31 22:23:10 +0000 UTCI am in love with this game all over again! I absolutely love this open world plan!

2025-01-31 22:17:06 +0000 UTCThank you! Yes, that's what we have in mind for Maggie right now but it can still change!
Alex Massé
2025-01-31 22:13:54 +0000 UTCit will be possible to increase the size of the map using a cheat, yes. Later on after the release, we will improve the tools to make it easier for people to create their own town. There is currently no limit to the size of town but if you make it too big, you will likely have performance issues on your computer
Alex Massé
2025-01-31 22:13:18 +0000 UTCLooks incredible! Since we’re getting rabbit holes, I hope we get to make our own in the game somehow… Like maybe we could build a shell and use a debug marker object to mark it as a hospital/police station/whatever it may be?

2025-01-31 21:47:06 +0000 UTCThe scaffolding the grime the wooden sidewalks!! I'm in love with the little things because they're what really brings everything together, I'm soo excited for town creation to be added as it looks like we'll have alot of options! And "oldtown" seems perfect for that museum idea that was mentioned a while back. Ofc i don't want to take anything historically significant from "oldtown" and stuff it in a museum😅 But it it'd be really fun if you added back that idea somwhow! Anywayss, Great work as always team😍😍

2025-01-31 21:27:58 +0000 UTCThis is absolutely gorgeous and the attention to detail is incredible! And I love that you're planning to include a castle. As someone who grew up in a village with a castle, I'd love to see some folklore surrounding the castle. Maybe some of the older paras like to tell ghost stories about it? Also - just for the fun of it - I'd like to throw out a totally impractical (probably impossible) suggestion 😅: hidden/ discreet passageways. Vieux Lyon has these incredible hidden passageways (traboules) that are amazing to explore. I imagine it would be far too technically difficult to create traboules but maybe discreet passageways that we could discover? Regardless, I can't wait to see more of the town!

2025-01-31 21:00:20 +0000 UTCSomeone in another comment mentioned the idea of hiding Easter eggs around town. That reminded me of how some people in my area will paint rocks and hide them around town for people to find. That gave me a totally random idea- what if something like that was implemented at some point as a sort of hobby you can do? Collecting painted rocks or some sort of object, around the town? As a collection that you can complete. Maybe even be able to have your paras paint their own. I know that's totally random but I was inspired by the comment down below.

2025-01-31 20:44:24 +0000 UTCI was not ready to see my hometown of Ottawa (specifically the Byward Market) in that inspiration moodboard. Right behind where that picture was taken, there used to be a notoriously chaotic McDonalds.

2025-01-31 19:46:05 +0000 UTCThis is so exciting! I love that the world is going to have several major districts, it’s going to prevent a lot of possible repetition that having only one map at launch could have caused and give us lots of variety!

2025-01-31 19:40:53 +0000 UTCI did see that post, but I thought that terrain sculpting was *within* the boundaries of an originally flat lot, not blended with the slopes of the surrounding terrain. Can you clarify please?

2025-01-31 19:12:55 +0000 UTCOMMGGGGG!!!! TAKE MY MONEY! I mostly play any game to build so I am sooo beyond excited to build in a game with so much versatility. So far it looks like we’ll be able to make split levels, walk out basements, funky shapes, odd windows and doors, spooky attics, and anything we can imagine. Thank you!!! I know this is a long, long, looong way off but if you do end up adding horses please strive for the same level of customizations when building our stables, arenas, hot walkers, and all of the fun farmy things to bring our properties to life. 🖤🖤🖤

2025-01-31 18:56:42 +0000 UTCTHE TOWN FEELS SO ALIVE I absolutely love how it will have a history and not be just a random suburban neighbourhood. Different lot types and architectural styles really help to convey the development history of a city. And no loading screens is a grace, they are so annoying and immersion breaking. You are on a very right track with the city design ✨

2025-01-31 18:36:48 +0000 UTCLove this! I think the idea of the cones/scaffolding to add liveliness is wonderful! I would suggest perhaps could you set it up to be possible on all buildings but then have it like randomly pop up as if the construction was moving around? Like one week per year or something and it rotates around town or something like that? To keep it dynamic.
Toria Stock
2025-01-31 18:28:58 +0000 UTCBeautiful! It was lovely to learn a little of Quebec's history and the mix of old stone and renovated brick buildings has loads of character. I think it will also be quite relatable for some European players so it won't feel so US-centric

2025-01-31 17:12:56 +0000 UTCThat's great news, I can see myself using many of the things in this post to create a more cohesive-looking district ! I'm personally not fond of having to use cheats for parts of the catalog (I don't understand why this is a thing in That Other Franchise™ and it has always felt like laziness to describe/price items on their part), but it's better than nothing I guess. At the very least the objects are usable and will have all the functionalities, like color customization and such, of regular items. Polls would definitely be welcome. I know there was a more general one last year, but I also feel like Paratrons have fewer opportunities to influence content nowadays, and I think newer subscribers to the Paratreon would appreciate getting some of those opportunities we had in the early years. Also, like I said : city hall XD Thanks a lot for answering, Alex. Have a nice weekend !

2025-01-31 15:38:43 +0000 UTCYou’ve probably considered it but one idea is to have portions of old city stone walk around. This can be seen quite a lot in older cities (like London wall). This could help if the industrial to old town is a bit jarring

2025-01-31 15:23:56 +0000 UTCThis all looks...well...perfect! European/English buildings! Yay!! My only sadness is that if I try to build any building in this game, it's just going to stand out like a pimple. Your artistry is just too good! :D And your ideas about a walkable town and size and zones and visible history to base the lore on is absolute common sense, and will turn out fabulously!! I am constantly amazed at just how much common sense and thoughtfulness is going into this game! I have to say, that a lot of the games I play I wonder at a lot of the end product just not making sense, as if it's been pieced together from random thoughts. Paralives seems so painstakingly and thoroughly thought out with ever detail carefully considered against the rest of the game. And BUNTING too!! Does the bunting have physics like the washing?

2025-01-31 15:10:05 +0000 UTCOh my goodness, this post could've gone on forever to me...A historic European town with an industrial district and a mountainous range? 50 to 70 lots?! 2025-01-31 14:57:00 +0000 UTCThis is so excitiiiiiiiing !!! Will there be polls about the specific buildings we want in the town ? I'm only asking because I'm really hoping for a city hall. Really, really hoping. I love the philosophy behind how the first town is being designed. It has districts (which is very cool in itself, and the details of the map make it sound like the town will be walkable but full of fascinating details, small streets and life-like experiences) but also will apparently have different biomes ? This is very cool and will allow for tons of different preferences and/or gameplay options, which of course is very much the point, but still, I appreciate that for "just" an Early Access release. Moreover, I adore the idea of working on a History. This sounds so much better than just gossip-like lore for individual characters imho. It will make the town feel like its own character, and not just the set of a soap opera. There's an exploration aspect to it that goes much further than just trying to insert ourselves in the backstories of existing Paras, that really speaks to me. "At some point in time, houses were taxed based on the number of windows you had, so it was an easy way to avoid taxes!" See what I mean ? This is so cool. I want to dig into that sort of stuff, and apparently I WILL ! "customizable street name signs" ceufceiufeciufdhqxzi, dxjzodufeiyurfgciudlzoxd Sorry, excitement overload. "the scaffolding and traffic cones" That scaffolding even has a protective mesh variant ? I feel spoiled. "Here is the house we came up with" The gasp of wonder I let out could have awakened the dead XD I like the dirt effect on the outside walls. Is it part of the wall texture itself, or does it work more like a sticker you can place wherever ? Since there's one under a window, probably a sticker ; but it never hurts to ask. Speaking of which, the assets you are designing for the town, I assume, will also be available to players ? WE WILL BE ABLE TO BUILD THIS TOO ? "We will have about 50 to 70 lots in total" ...That Other Game 4™ could never. Sorry but not sorry. You guys are doing a fantastic job here. Friday after Friday I get excited and thrilled and have thousands of projects. You guys are killing it.

2025-01-31 14:55:45 +0000 UTCAmazing! In the first place, all your ideas are going in an ideal direction for me. You add to this with your very creative and practical ideas. Then when you implement it, the execution itself is wonderful. And then you can add to it with those little precise details that make it come to life. I love this project, one of the most exciting things that I have followed over the years. <3

2025-01-31 14:55:38 +0000 UTCI love that you added scaffolding. Such a small but realistic element. I've been reading on Milan Kundera's definition of "kitsch" and having a scaffolding in the game is a very anti-kitsch move which I love!!! On another note I just really really hope that the movement animations of the paras will be realistic, especially the transitions from one movement to another, and I hope that they react to action queues without waiting on idle too long. Another life sim game failed terribly at this in their 4th game, and now the characters feel like webgame-like in their depth. We gotta be able to love our dolls in order to enjoy playing dollhouse... Keep up the incredible work, you're an amazing team!!

2025-01-31 14:52:35 +0000 UTCI am so excited to see the town evolve!!! I also think it is OK if the town is a little bigger and more sparse, because with the lot making tools and town customization features players need extra space to utilize that and its also totally OK if some areas are more empty from activity than others, as players could just build up their own new part of town in those areas. To overcome an issue where some facilities are too far to walk to, there should be additional ones in the more remote areas such as a small neighborhood supermarket. Lastly, I am afraid if the town is fully walk-able, there would be no need for cars.

2025-01-31 14:50:29 +0000 UTCLove the idea of a walkable town center, must closer to my irl than what we are use to see. I think the look of the street looks really modern, maybe in the oldest part of the old town you could have full cobbled streets (with no sidewalk) like the smaller street ? I hope we get some pedestrian only zone (maybe with also bike). I think this would help with the mood. I know it's super specific but one esthetic think I love is the art nouveau building style we can find in my homecountry capital. It's really is unique and fun. The drinking fountain reminds me a bit of that, so 🤩 Hope we can get some traditional square in the old town. Will the drinking fountain works ?

2025-01-31 14:48:10 +0000 UTCExcuse me! This is just amazing and I can totally imagine Andrei's music playing in the background and the ambient sound when you pass by a cafe, corner shop, carpenter etc. I would love if you could hide tiny Easter eggs in the city. Maybe some inside jokes hidden in a garden, behind bushes. A letter from you if you move in a certain house or open a mailbox. A hidden cellar room or something like that. It would give the city more magic (for me) and would you include into my gameplay. This would be awesome ❤️

2025-01-31 14:47:34 +0000 UTCOH MY GOD!!! I cannot explain how excited I am to see the inspo pics, see what you've already worked on and hear about the plans you have for the town. To me it sounds incredible. Like super incredible. So so so very incredible. I love that you've taken into account how much life we'd like in the world and you're adding more than just some houses and a couple of community lots. Everything you talked about feels like a real place. It already sounds so alive and I love that. I'm so excited to see that. The fact we can build our own lots and add to that map makes it even better. What you already have there looks so good and I'm really impressed by the footpaths as well as the town houses that look good and make sense. Love seeing space at the back of the house too with some grass. And I love that different areas will have different styles. I love that we'll have different parts of the town. I love that it'll be walkable and that cars will be introduced eventually. One thing about the way it looks so far is I could see paras pushing babies and toddlers in prams and buggies and kids walking to school and people riding bikes (if all this stuff is introduced). I want to thank you all so much for putting so much thought and care into these designs and for sharing them with us. I'm excited to see all the homes and other buildings we'll get. The fact we'll have parks as well is so nice. I was already excited and hopeful but reading through this and seeing the idea you all have made me 100x more excited and I so look forward to more updates on this.

2025-01-31 14:47:00 +0000 UTCI'm so excited for this game! I'm currently studying urbanism and all those choices and plans make so much sense, we finally get some European representation in life simulation games! I have a question though, will you update the town during early access if you add new mechanics or decorative objects? A new type of lot, or an expansion of the town borders, for example.

2025-01-31 14:46:00 +0000 UTCWow, the buildings look lovely, especially in the sunset😍so good to finally see a town inspired by Europe, and it's so fun to see how it already has a history! I also love the flower and the stone in the middle of the street, so that cars don't go over there. Will there also be houses that have premade fences? In my country we all have fences around our houses, I wonder if this will be a thing in this town, or maybe in another one in the future!

2025-01-31 14:43:53 +0000 UTCI'M OBSESSED. Oh my goodness. I'm floored. You've all done an incredible job and I'm so excited to hear more about the town as you continue to work on it! I can't WAIT to explore it and discover its history! There's going to be so much to see and love! The scaffolding!! That's going to be so useful in making the town feel alive! The *drip marks* on the walls! And all of the other incredible details you described and shown! It's truly beautiful and it's clear you've worked hard and put a lot of love into it. I'm getting so many new ideas already for when I get to play! As they say, the vibes are immaculate. Thank you so much for sharing, Alex and Léa!! Thank you team! <3 P.S. Forgot to yell about two more things I loved - the ground-level windows and the sloped road! And of course overall the buildings are beautiful. I hope I will be able to build things as beautiful as this! I'll certainly be spending enough time on it to figure it out haha!
