I’ve been a bartender for 10 years in a bunch of states/cities and it’s standard to have virgin cocktails be in different types of glasses for exactly that reason. I’m not a big “talk the manager” type person but I would nicely mention it to one if I was you in this situation. It’s a big issue for a lot of reasons if you have a server who is careless about alcohol safety. They could be also serving alcohol to people who have religious objections, medication contradictions, are underage, etc. A manager at any respectable place will care because it could get them shut down. You’re definitely not nuts!
