They don't teach us American kids about electronics or physics in high school. I learned what I know much later, and on my own. You are correct, theremins use capacitance - but that's a lot more complicated to build. Photoresistor is a single component you plug in and you're done.
2019-05-01 17:43:49 +0000 UTCi just had to raise my volume from 10% tp 20% π€£ oooh italian hardware. π And yes... it does look like a lot like the stuff i used to study how circuits work, somewhat similar connections and sockets and i got today's episode almost completely! ππ Mostly because you basically re-explained high school stuff, but it was very nice. And i never imagined photoresistors could be used like this. And i think Theramins use capacity, but yeah, still "handwaving" π€£π Very informative, thanks for sharing it.
