This is really bad for the Duchess, since her Regalia is a repository for her Magickal power (sort of like Sauron's ring). Damage to it would harm her as well; that's why she is so protective of it.

Belated doodle request, mainly because I really don't have any good ideas: I would like to see Constance and Conrad staring at each other through one of those fun-house mirrors, as if the former were looking at what she used to be or the latter is fascinated at what's (unknowingly) in store for him.
