I assumed the kids were still pre-verbal and totally chaotic, and that Tabitha would be constantly rushing between 13 unrelated disasters. Instead, they're advanced enough for her to reason and negotiate with them, and most of them are just standing and watching. The downside is that they're also advanced enough to coordinate and strategize against her.
