Fun With Shorts! American Look 3

Sorry I'm late but it's been quite a week. I'm happy and healthy but overwhelmed by lots of things and stuff. Here's the exciting (?) conclusion to American Look!

FWIW, I didn't chop these shorts up (This is Color 2, American Look 3, etc.), I found them this way. Now that this one's completely maybe I can cut together the full version and slap it on the next DVD (which is volume 30, BTW!).

Anyhoo, I hope you're all holding up well and making the most of the end of the world.

Peace!
-Josh

Fun With Shorts! American Look 3

Comments

Hi, Josh, Wow - finally saw the year of production - it's the year I was born! Those last two over-the-top and less practical concept cars were amazing. I would have loved them, when I was a kid, but now no one could pay me enough to drive one. Thanks for doing these. I'll want to buy whatever you're selling that puts the three parts together.

I think Chevrolet may have put more into promotion because their cars, other than a '57 and a few other, can't do it alone. What was the movie about mental patients writing advertising copy? What they came up with for Chevrolet was "Chevrolet: not better, just cheaper."

0:38 "Textures must harmonize with colors." Tables must be friggin' mirror-polished. 0:56 "Here's Mary Blair designing 'It's a Huge Car After All'." Hey, give a patron a drink-snorting warning, wouldja, Josh? 3:32 He did say "life" of the future, but if Nuveena comes into this, I'm outie. Why is it always Chevrolet with these things, eh? And don't get me wrong, I like a good retrofuturistic look, but some of this stuff is just plain OOGLEH.

Thanks :-) :-) I will check them out, after I finish your videos of course hee hee

I think they're on Twitch as well.

Josh Way

Yes, they do. I don't have the link but if you search "robot co-op" you'll find them.

Josh Way

Ooohhhhh those guys!!!! Do they still have videos on Yuotube?

Leslie Helwig

Topsy Bot 5000 is a character from the Incognito Cinema Warriors XP, another MST3K tribute show on the web. They've changed their format in recent years and mostly riff video games now under the name Robot Co-Op. I did some writing for them back in the day and the Topsy cameo was a fun little crossover.

I have been binging Fun With Shorts on your youtube page and there was a reference to a character called Topsie, he did not appreciate your vitriol towards marionettes. Who is he?
