The BIG LAUNCH is happening - and I need your help!

Hello again, friends! I come to you today to ask for your advice, and your help.

I have decided to dedicate more of my (limited!) time and resources to the MM&D series (and all of its offshoot projects), mostly because you great folks have convinced me of its value to you. When I read your comments here and on YouTube about how much you enjoy it, and how engaged you have become with the characters and storylines, it makes me pretty proud of the show. That said, I would be nothing without my audience - so thank you ALL.

As of today, we have over 11,000 YouTube subscribers and almost 200 Patrons - which is pretty great for a show that's had virtually no advertising from me on any platform!

It's still a very small, very niche audience by YouTube's standards, but I believe that we have an opportunity to grow.

That's where you come in!

I know there are tens of thousands of roleplayers out there who would no doubt enjoy the "Me, Myself and Die!" content, but I feel like they're unaware of its existence.

I would love to get the word out to other parts of the community that may not be aware of the show. I want to create awareness of the channel, so that all those fans of "Critical Role", "Not Another D&D Podcast", or just tabletop RPGs in general, can discover us and come have a look.

Here's my ask: it would be a HUGE help if every one of you could talk about and link to the channel on whatever platforms you have available to you. Twitter, Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, internet gaming fora, your nerdy nephew's gaming club; whatever you have convenient access to.

It doesn't have to be anything complicated; just a brief mention, with maybe a link to the website www.memyselfanddie.com (that's going to be the hub where everything else can be accessed - it just went live), or to the other related social media platforms.

Below I've provided some sample links you can use as you see fit. I'm basically hitting as many possible social media apps as I can, for maximum exposure. Let me know if any of these links are broken! Also, go follow those accounts. That would be a big help!

Feel free to screenshot an image from the show and post it on Instagram, or to make reference to some of your favorite moments from each of the three seasons on Twitter or Facebook (#spoileralert!), or basically anything else you can think of that might help would-be MM&D fans out there to discover its existence.

Many people have asked for audio versions of the show, so I'm in the process of uploading all three seasons as audio podcasts to iTunes, Stitcher, Google Podcasts, etc. All of the episodes (both the audio versions and in the YouTube player) will be available on the website www.memyselfanddie.com.  Hopefully, the audio podcasts will help to open up another part of the RPG community to us.

I'm also uploading all three seasons of videos to the Facebook page that I've created for the show (https://www.facebook.com/MeMyselfAndDie). The page is in its infancy, but if you're Facebook users, "Liking" that page and directing people to it would be a great help too.

I have also registered a dedicated Twitter account (@MeMyselfAndDie1) and an Instagram account (MeMyselfAndDieRPG) to upload news and updates about the channel. Please go and follow those accounts! I'm going to try and stay on top of them - loathe as I am, as most of you know, to engage in social media - and hopefully, that will attract more viewers like you!

I'm putting together some Instagram "Reels", and possibly the same for Tik Tok, for advertising the show, so look for those and share them!

If any of you have any further suggestions or brilliant ideas on how we can help share "Me, Myself and Die" with the wider world, I'd love to hear them. I am going to need your expertise and advice going forward to make this work!

I know that together, we can make "Me, Myself and Die!" one of the great roleplaying channels on YouTube, and beyond.

Thanks for this in advance, and thanks as always for your continuing support!

I fear you may be right.

I tell everyone I can about the show. It's compelling enough regardless of ruleset that role players will enjoy it whether they care about solo play or not. But IMO to really build a large viewership you should try a season with D&D 5e. I know I know … "rule # whatever - use a system you like", but there are mods that could give it the gritty and streamlined feel you're looking for. Making it solo D&D 5e could drive a lot more people to it, similar to how CR took off - which was in part due to the cast but also because they were playing D&D.

You're in luck - the podcasts are up on all the usual sources, as well as on the website! MeMyselfAndDie.com

Sorry...late to the update...ON IIT! While I prefer the YT versions, the audio versions are a great idea. I listen to them in the car with my two sons (they are HUGE fans!!!) and having the episode stream via a podcast vs YT would be very beneficial. BTW, my oldest feels that 2nd season needs to be a movie! Keep up the awesome work! I will continue to share!

Thanks Phillippe, I’ll have a look!

Unfortunately I am only aware of the very small world of online rpg french conference. But I have found this information on the Gen Con online website that I assume should be a big one : https://www.gencon.com/gen-con-online/hosting-events-eo-gm

Good idea. Anyone have any contact info for such things?

Trevor Devall

As an idea. You could try to participate to an online conference (or some), like Gen Con online.

I will answer the call.

This is great news! Congratulations! I actually shared some of your content on my gaming groups discord last night, so this is perfect! I am showing my players how a DMless game works, we are having the first session tomorrow, brainstorming and maybe character creation if they feel comfortable. Best of luck brother, with dedication to posting to these platforms I know you will make a big wave in the RPG community. I was a Solo Roleplayer for awhile, still do it on a semi-regular basis too, and I was looking for content to help me. Thats when I found your YouTube channel with a YouTube search. You got this.

Yes. At some point you just have to jump in with both feet, I’m glad that time is now. I’ll definitely do my part :)

Oh man, IT’S HAPPENING!! I’ve been singing the praises of this show on Reddit where applicable…I too am loathe to using most social media, but I’ll share everything I can with everyone I can! This show deserves all the praise it gets; just remember not to burn out on it, Trevor! :)

The FB link is incorrect. Remove the ")." from the end. Also, YES, OF COURSE on the ask.

Corey Mayo

Shared on me FB page arrrr! And I’ll do me instergram too for good measure 😉👍

If any show deserves to hit an uptick, it’s certainly this one. I’ll keep this in mind for some circles I run in.

I forwarded to the few people I know who would be interested in watching. Every little bit helps.
