Time to Talk about Sketch Raffles

So one of my earliest goals was a promise to hold a monthly sketch raffle. 

I don't even know where to FIND that goal anymore (since Patreon changed the UI and moved it lol) but I want everyone to know that I remember it. And despite the fact that I have not distributed any artwork in several months, I HAVE been making it. The short end of the story is that I am BAD at digital work.  I don't dislike everything I make, but the process of getting there is clunky and complicated and just not fun for me.

And my Patreon is all about fun and enjoyment and learning. As much as I'd like to learn how to be a digital artist, I am not going to torture myself over it XD

This month I took a  step back and painted a scene. With real paint on real canvas and I hugely enjoyed myself. This is what I like to do! I need to physically be there and touch the paint. Acrylics bring me back to my early days as an artist like almost nothing else can. I've worked in a lot of mediums but acrylics was always what I did for 'fun'.

So, since shipping a physical media piece each month is just not going to be possible (Due to the cost for mailing plus the fact I don't even had address for most of my patrons) the raffle is now going to be 'opt in'.

Each month I will paint (or sculpt or whatever. The medium doesn't matter) *something* and show it here. 

If any patron wants to adopt it, they can simply tell me so. They will provide their address and pay for shipping  to them + what I need to rebuy the same materials for next month (aka $10 for a canvas board the same size etc). There will be no labour costs associated with this, all I want it to not run out of supplies XD

If more than one person wants it, it will go to raffle between them. If no one adopts it, I'll just paint over it/reuse the materials for another project. 

I am probably going to make a lot of random/quick/weird arts so it is not going to hurt my feelings in the slightest if no one wants anything during any given month (better that then make people take something they don't want!) :p But hopefully some piece eventually will strike the right fancy for someone and the right person will end up the exact original piece of art that they want! Perfect!

I will have this month's artwork up later along with all of the details on its 'adoption' (price, etc). Oh so exciting :D
