Happy new year Everyone... I hope that this year will be better than any expectations you might have about it ...
I have had a peaceful couple of days leading up to the New Year, updating my bookkeeping, the secondary computer back-up and re-organising my map file system ... so now of course, I won't have a clue where anything is for the next few months!
Having updated the bookkeeping, I can happily say that, with the advantage of no rent or mortgage (ie being homeless), I have just squeaked through this year without dipping into my emergency savings.... Which means there is a huge exciting chance that I will be able to continue to be creative full time. To be honest, mostly that came from stock photography & graphics, commissions, and Roll20. But you all have collectively tipped the balance into the black and more importantly have been a truly wonderful inspiration. I am ever grateful to all of you.... past, present & future alike.
So, since *sigh of relief* it looks like I will be able to carry on being full time creative in 2021... I have been plotting and dreaming about future maps for you guys...
Since I am going to be unsettled for the next few months a least, I don't want to over-commit and fall short. With that in mind, I am going to aim for 2 funded releases a month, plus the monthly themed 'Bonus' mini-encounter map sets. Then, if I still have time left around other creative commitments, I will add 1 or 2 more funded releases (up to the maximum of 4 in a month).
Each month will look something like this:
Which equals about 10-12 maps a month - And who knows how many variations...
Did you spot that 'map 3' is a settlement map? ... I have been really really really wanting to draw a few hamlets or villages for you, so I plotted them into the plan for 2021 :-)
Well, that is the long and the short of it ... I am looking forward to being able to create more maps for you all, so that you can create plots, stories. memories & mayhem with them (and then hopefully tell me a little bit about what chaos ensues).
Happy New Year everyone, and best wishes
