EARLY ACCESS: 15 Years of A Dose of Buckley (Or "Why Don't You Stick to Music?!")

VIDEO LINK: https://youtu.be/6UL67FBN4MI

Hey everyone, it's Early Access Day, although as mentioned on Tuesday... you kinda already got this in Early Access. This weekend's video is the "Inside the Bottle" video I released on Tuesday, but wrapped inside a 15th Anniversary message to my audience and a little "behind-the-scenes" look at where/how I record. I understand if you can't, but if you COULD do me a favor: If you watch this, please watch it all the way through, without skipping through the middle. I don't think it'll matter in early access, but it COULD hurt my stats (if YouTube goes "oh, people are only watching 4 minutes of this, well... I'm not going to show it to anyone", that could hurt it a little). Thanks!

It's the 15th Anniversary of A Dose of Buckley! The Doc himself gives you a behind-the-scenes look at his recording process, picks at an old wound, and wraps it all up with a look to the future. And in the middle of all that, we look at one of the most common types of comments Buckley receives: "Why don't you just stick to music?" "Remember when you used to talk about music?" "I thought this was a music channel?!" Did Buckley forget what his channel was all about at some point? OR, are some viewers suffering from a Mandela Effect? Let's go Inside the Bottle to find out!

EARLY ACCESS: 15 Years of A Dose of Buckley (Or "Why Don't You Stick to Music?!")

The first video I saw of yours was the Otherkin video. I was in late high school and a friend of mine was talking about Otherkin and I didn't know what that was so he looked up your video on my laptop to show me. Hilariously I watched everything BUT your music content for many years. Now I'm a working adult and listen to your videos while I wash the dishes and clean.

Juno

I like variety so I think your content is well balanced and you are rigorous about everything you do never neglecting even small details that make your videos really satisfying. Keep up what your doing. You've got your own signature and I think this is one of the most important aspect of a content creator.

Or a grandfather named Arthur OR an uncle named Andrew.

Adam Buckley

Like many others I found the channel in 2012 when I was in HS. I vividly remember watching the Vincent Li video in the library and hoping no one looked over my shoulder to see what was on my computer. Now this is the only Patreon I subscribe to. Thanks for all the memories Buckley and I'm happy to keep supporting the habit!

Jared S

I’m starting to think buckley doesn’t have a cousin named Axle

Morgan Underhill

Behind as always, but I am one of your 2012 pickups. You're also the one and only person I support on Patreon. I was actually pretty sad when you took your break and thrilled when you came back. I will be with you on this ride until you retire. We grannies love angry Canadians too!

Fiz Gig

Keep doing what you’re doing! Found the worst songs of 2011 and I’ve stayed for the other bullshit internet stories!

Conor Frederick

I don't really comment on videos or really interact much, but, especially given the future section; I want to finally say, Buckley, the reason why your Patreon is one of the few I'm supporting when I can't afford much else is because of the fact that when I get a backlog of your videos and get to binge them, it's one of the few good things I have to look forward to in my life right now. It was a sad period when you stopped uploading for me, even though I'm glad you got the break you needed to figure your shit out -- having you back, despite it being a "one-way relationship", is always an uplifting thing. I appreciate you going down with the ship, and even though I'm a random face in the crowd, I hope you at least get a smirk knowing there are people out there that still greatly look forward to your next post.

Depressed_LGBT_Kiwi

Thank you for all of these years, Buckley! I found your channel through the worst songs videos when I was in my teens, probably around 2013, and I have been a fan since. Your content and humour never cease to entertain me. I wish you all the best in the future, and will continue to enjoy your videos as always!

Saija

Ahh you can't make jokes about anything no more! (sarcasm sarcasm)

Honk22

Congrats on 15 years. Man, time's flying

Thor Stone

I agree. And I've lived it all!

Adam Buckley

I really do want to go to the UK, would be amazing to figure out if I could do some sort of event there ("A wasted evening with Buckley"). Failing that, I want to get an agent and get them to book me on every panel show. I'd love to do literally any of them.

Adam Buckley

I think that video might have been one of the most mutually beneficial collaborations of all time, which is hilarious since it makes fun of collaboration videos. We both had very similar sized audiences at that point, and when that released, there were so many people from both our audiences who were made aware of the other, I gained a bunch of subscribers, he gained a bunch of subscribers, it was really good. Compared to the ones where it's clear someone with no audience might either be getting a favor done for them, OR bought their way into a collab.

Adam Buckley

I generally steer away from wasting videos on personal drama, because I don't think it's interesting. But basically he did a livestream where he got really upset at my 4/20 video. I mocked him for it on like... Wordpress or something, he mocked me back, and that was pretty much it.

Adam Buckley

Nice jab at amazing atheist. I had no idea you two were beefing at one point.

nee gur

Started watching after I saw the IHE April fools video. I went what the hell is this, and now you’re one of the only channels I still watch. You’re like my Canadian uncle. Fits my sense of the world perfectly. Thanks for all you have done.

Brandon Delon

Been a fun ride into the core of the society's brainrot with you. We went too far so much, might as well keep going. Nice jab at absolute scumbags promoting scam landlord titles and mental health "experts" exploiting mentally vulnerable people. I wish exceeding violence to that second group. I can provide it too, it is the season of giving after all.

Michał Michalski

It's funny watching a guy celebrate his 15th anniversary of a job when I'm barely 30. Silly coincidence aside, I adore your content man. You not only say what I think better than I ever could, but you're hilarious. If you're ever in the UK, I owe you a beer. But I give you about £5 every month, so I guess just use that.

Connor Stilwell

Thanks for 15 years of entertainment, Buckley! Maybe one day, you’ll be able to come out of the closet… Actually found watching you speak, rather than the audio, rather enjoyable as a change to shake things up a bit. It’s come a long way since the Uncle Burger back in early 2011.

Ash Archer

I've been watching you since I was 10 (back around 2010) and as silly as it may sound your videos genuinely help me get through the week by giving me something to always look forward to. Even when you went on a break I just rewatched the old stuff since it's always great for a quick laugh. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything, Buckley. I'll be here going down with the sinking ship until the very end lol. o7

Happy Holidays, bud! Glad you’re keeping with it, though obviously if you ever decide you want to hang up the gloves… I’M GOING TO YELL AT YOU BECAUSE I’M ENTITLED TO MY ENTERTAINMENT!!1!1!

Jeremy Andrew Russell

Your Bill Burr impressions are enough to keep me subscribing

djdriedel

Still the only reason I have Patreon. Thanks for the laughs over the last 15 years.

Ryan Mcclay

Came for the musical, stayed for the internet bs. Congrats on 15 years Buckley!

Melissa Munson

Great video

Lizzi Huskey
