Hey everyone, it's Bonus Dose Day, and you know, over the years I feel like I've softened a little on the idea of "selling out". Obviously, EVERYONE would like to make a living doing something they really want to do. Is that such a crime? WELL, it is when you turn "something you really want to do" into "trying to bleed every last dollar out of the people who allowed you to do what you do for a living in the first place". And I think the subject of today's video has been doing that for... pretty much the last 40 years. Enjoy!
The term "sell out" is used quite a bit, sometimes for absurd reasons, when talking about musicians and bands. But perhaps NO one man deserves that label more than Gene Simmons, the founder, singer and bass player for the rock band KISS. Buckley takes you through a(nother?) look at his historical cash grabs, as well as his latest attempt to try and get people to pay $12,500 for the privilege of "working" for him for a day? Guess how well that's going for him?
