At the start of August, Aishola and I hired a car, filled it with medical equipment and delivered the supplies to villages on the east of Kyrgyzstan.
Aishola had worked hard selling self-illustrated cards and had used the funds to purchase:
80 full body protective clothes, 120 drips, 500 syringes, 2 blood oxygen metres, 70 masks and 120 medical gloves
COVID cases were starting to rise exponentially during that time (slowed down now thankfully) and it was looking like some of the villages in that part of the country may begin struggling.
We ended up splitting the equipment between 3 separate hospitals and while in the grand scheme of things our donation wasn’t massive, I’m certain it helped in a small way to prevent people contracting the virus and aid the recovery of those that already had. This is the little video I've finally put together of that trip.
