Anyway, I'm telling you this because age-restricted videos are not monetized and are often not promoted by algorithms, which is why your support is extremely valuable. People assume I make ad revenue for every video, but often I do not.

i think mckinley would've been a better president if he was alive at a different time. he completely bought into the age of imperialism. i didn't even learn about the phillipine american war until i got to college. not a fan of him at all

I can’t help but wonder if Nixon got indicted and prosecuted for his actions regarding watergate, maybe future president wouldn’t have been so cavalier with breaking the law. Maybe Iran Contra wouldn’t have happened, and Clinton wouldn’t have lied under oath if a previous president actually got prison time for committing a crime. We keep hearing that no one is above the law, yet we’ve repeatedly shown that presidents are and pardoning Nixon set that precedent. At least that’s my opinion.

Allen Dulles was still head of the CIA during the Bay of Pigs (the fiasco of it is what made Kennedy fire him), though by that time he was old and relegated most of the work to vassals like Bissell. But yeah, the main finger of blame should be pointed at the CIA. 'The Brothers' by Stephen Kinzer is a good book all about the dastardly machinations of the Dulles brothers.

Dulles died in '59 and perhaps Ike felt obligated to follow through with it in honor of him. Anyway, yeah that poster definitely stands out in the classic picture. 😏

A lot more blame should go to Allen Dulles, Richard Bissell, and Eisenhower (who not only approved of the plan but encouraged a recalcitrant Kennedy to pursue it when the two men met on Ike's last day in office). But then again, I'm not sure I can think of a better candidate for a Kennedy mistake. Overall, excellent and ambitious video! I like that you were even-handed with criticizing the modern presidents. Also, seeing 'HITLER'S LOVE LIFE REVEALED' staring back at me from the middle of the screen at 14:20 took me slightly out of the seriousness of the topic you were discussing lol.
