Progress!
Added 2018-08-05 00:19:58 +0000 UTCOkay! Chapter 1 is ready to send off to the Color Tech at Hiveworks. I'm really nervous - I hope I did everything right. I'm really happy with all the corrections; they've been bothering me for so long that it's nice to look at pages without any of those mistakes in them any more!
Formatting pages is going great, too! I've hit a new phase of old pages where the Word Balloons are finally on their own layers and not part of the artwork, but I have to re-type all of the dialogue because, for some reason, they've been flattened into pixels instead of editable text. Retyping is a heckuva lot easier than isolating the word balloons, though, so I'm hoping things steadily get faster and faster!
[EDIT: 08-17-18] I haven't heard back from the Color Tech yet, but it sounds like things on their end are EXTREMELY BUSY at the moment, and I want the pages/this work to get the time and attention it deserves, so I'm trying to give them their space.
I'm holding off on formatting any more pages until I hear their feedback because if there's something I've been doing incorrectly, I don't want to redo a bunch of work. 13 pages is a lot less work than the potential 50 or 100 I work ahead on.
I'll give them another nudge at the beginning of next week and let you know if there's any big news, but at this point I breathing down and looming over the starting line and waiting for the go-ahead to get the rest of these done. It means a lot of really cool Before & After things I can show you!

The dots mean that I wasn't able to isolate the Word Balloons from the Artwork itself, and I'm leaving them as is to see what the Color Tech says, and whether or not I can leave them all as one layer. The -A means that the file formatting is done, but the artwork is awaiting some corrections before it can all be merged down into one single layer.
