Tensions Boil as Gropesville Demands More Boobys

With unease rising over unsavory lobbyists and shifting stances on crime and punishment, desperate Gropesvillians have thrown their lot behind a wildcard: Tiffaneaux (pronounced Tiffany) “Boobys” Bowburt, former manager of the failed Blasters restaurant chain and an unapologetic champion of the Second Amendment.

"Your ballot wasn’t just a dispute—it was a battle cry for our American values!" Bowburt declared to a half-asleep crowd at her sparsely attended watch party Tuesday night. “I’m honored to be your voice in Gropesville Congress. It’s time to stop the insanity that’s overtaken our modestly tax-deducted town!”

Leaning into her image—critics be damned—Bowburt doubled down: “There’s nothing about my politics I’ll change. Because I’m an effective legislator,” she told reporters. “Maybe it’s the media that needs to change their narrative on Tiffaneaux Bowburt instead of pressuring me to change who I am. I am radically Boobys Bowburt.”

The crowd of dozens erupted in approval. Stacey Boddha, a longtime Republican voter, shrugged off Bowburt’s controversies: “I liked her when she ran the sports bar. Those other guys aren’t doing anything good, so they didn’t get my vote.”

Taking aim at former GOP Rep. Kenn Morebuck—who stepped down early—Bowburt added: “Gropesville’s Xth District deserves a representative who won’t turn their back on them.”

Her Democratic challenger, Farina Kattrese, mounted a vigorous campaign bolstered by national fundraising. A Farlands Ranch native, Kattrese returned home to care for her aging Republican parents—encouraged by her father to run for office. Her platform leaned heavily on community ties while hammering Bowburt's stance on veterans’ care and In-Vitro protections. But it wasn’t enough to quench the fire of the incumbent.

Bowburt’s political trajectory has been anything but smooth. First elected in 2022 to GV-02—covering Farland Slope and Northern Gropesville—her term was marred by headline-grabbing antics: heckling President Moe Jiven during the State of the Union, accusing a Human congressman of terrorism, and scraping by re-election with a razor-thin 237-vote margin.

In her second term, she reversed course on earmarks—once denouncing them, now using them to deliver results for the district. Yet her defiance never wavered. Bowburt famously blocked Levin McCarcie’s bid for Hall Speaker, demanding operational changes that triggered McCarcie’s ouster and left Congress paralyzed for weeks.

Her personal life added fuel to the spectacle. Following a bitter divorce and causing a mess of a theater incident in Dannvers, she relocated from Shiftey to Gun, Gropesville—her home turf—just as former Rep. Morebuck resigned. She cited personal healing and political strategy as her reasons.

Endorsements from former President Tornald Frump and House Speaker Spike Donson, coupled with a robust war chest funded by loyal GV-02 supporters, propelled Bowburt past fierce primary challengers like Republican Jaff Herdtz.

Now, Bowburt returns to Congress, vowing to shake things up—whether Gropesville wants her to or not. She’s set her sights on the Hall’s Natural Resources and Oversight committees, promising to deliver results for her constituents.

For now, Gropesville leans in close—its hopes and anxieties pinned squarely on the spontaneous shoulders of Boobys Bowburt.
