Super Streets of Gape v1.1.44b (Pilot 6)

Sup, ziggurats o' smackdown? Streets of Gape's here to bust some bits! 256-jillion bytes like!

We’re slamming down an update with fresh methods of mayhem. For the true brawling lunatics, this beat-em-up’s got new breakables, new bangs, and more classic TP spices. Let’s dive in headfirst!

Gameplay: Break Shit, Don’t Get Broken //
New Breakables: Hot dog carts, vending machines, and aquariums shatter into new debris; meaty chunks o' dog, soda cans, fishes. Toss ‘em to smash goons, no blowback. Non-breakables like tires or wood chipper scoops bounce back! Time your grab to snatch it mid-air for another swing. Too close with the smackdown? Eat a faceful, assuredly.

New Weapons, Weapons: Bust breakables for mean gear (chances are still up in tweak-mode). Shotgun rips through flesh, Mini-Uzi and SMG spit casings like a strip club floor, and timed Grenades or Cold War Bombs-bring the boom-boom back. Watch your step—Land Mines are your first “fuck off” obstacle. Step wrong, and you’re roast rabbito.

Good Vibrations, High Vibes: Supers hit with a slick NRG bar flash, screenshake, and rumble shake will accompany your hottest moves. Like a hadouken right in the nuts. We’re tweaking rumble, so tell us how that one feels. There's more places it can always go. Oh, and don't shoot your mounted drago, you'll scare him off now.

Visuals: Hot dog carts, vending machines, and aquariums spew their junk when smashed, keeping streets a mess. We’re cooking rowdy enemies and adding the main cast to crank up the nasty, but, more when it’s locked in first. I forget myself it's still in testing! And WIP!

**For the Button-Mashers: Time grabs on non-breakables to avoid eating a hit. Weapons keep you sharp. Throw breakables alright? Non-breakables too wild now? Well, tell us all about it. And don't step on any land mines.

I’m not one for another ass-sit, so I’ll cut right in—your name’s been showing up on some private boards. Word is you’ve been lurking near the Haven lately… using that style. And it seems Conglamorous really wants it.

I’ve worked for suppliers before. Middlemen, mostly. Most of ’em didn’t realize the footage and strike telemetry they were piping out was going straight to the Mining Kings. My job was extraction, not audit. But the names on the payout logs? MKM—Mining Kings Manufacturing—half a dozen times. You know what that means. And what I mean.

Don’t get me wrong—I don’t do blackmail. And I sure as hell ain’t your personal cop. I just thought you should know what’s floating in your current. Because if I can piece this together, CG’s lapdogs will too—and they won’t be gentle about it.

I know Rolly Industrial. Cute move. They bought your raccoon pal’s likeness and started slapping it on forestry machines. Subtle, like a sledgehammer! But that may have been the signal Long Island needed to finally get off its ass about the Haven. MKM’s pushing in deep now—marshlands, caves. The locals once called it that land, Cutchogue. The Kings? They just call it profit.

It’s funny—Fishers Island used to be sacred. Off-limits, even for most Furries. Let alone concrete-spitters and their contract-flooded greed. But then again, most folks don’t know MKM is the trust—the one channeling old Helvetian blood wealth through twenty corporate fronts. Every pipeline leads to a bigger lie. Research on them? Dry as the wine I'm drinking. That’s why my NRG resonated with you the moment yours lit.

So here’s the offer.

How to play? Blow, snap and slice your path of destruction through one crowd of pent-up tossers, so far! For now, keyboard/gamepad controls are as concludes:

CONTROLS (Keyboard->360 Pad/modern equivalent):

Left/Down/Up/Right D-Pad = Choose character or palette/Movement/QTEs
A(A) = Jump/Grab Context/QTE Actions
X(S) = Attack/QTE Actions
Y(D) = Grab/Item Pickups/Throw Enemy
B(F) = Special Move (Requires NRG)
Enter = Enter game/Choose character
Alt+Enter (keyboard)  = Fullscreen/Windowed Mode

Select Screen pending for changeup.

Here's the rundown for Bimson which will translate across the rest of the cast in certain ways (when I add them). We have weapons to pick from:
KNIFE / METAL BAT / PISTOL / SHOTGUN / UZI / SMG
But these all have a limited life to use them for, much like our own! Don't rely too heavily on them to get out of a crowd. For now, the weapon will be tossed when they end.

There are now 3 ways to
Special! (Tornado Kick)
Up-Special! (DragonCut)
Down-Special! (Fireball)
Watch out for your NRG bar, it fills up with good old-skool thumping, and may also refill via foods.
Make heads roll, it's fatal! Activate FULL NRG during any grab to EXECUTE!

Run & Evade: Triple-tap Left/Right to run, then X for lunge attack. Triple-tap Up/Down to dodge n’ weave. Dragons may also lunge attack.

Pickup items with DOWN+Grab. Be timely, they disappear from the field quickly.
Pickup downed enemies and breakables such as boxes! Throw before you tire out. Non-breakables (tires, woodchipper parts) bounce back; mistime grabs, and you’ll be hurting.

You'll have plenty of opportunity to meet up with Ledd's escaped and mountable beasts, dragons.
When no rider is on it, mount it with Grab (3 rides max). X for flame attack, B for NRG fireball (shortens rides*pending approval). They can run-attack too.

::EXECUTE YOUR PREY::
Press 'attack' multiple times to perform a full combo.
Hold attack for a few moments and release to unleash a hard OTG move!
Hit UP+Attack for a High, or DOWN+Attack for a low attack! Time these attacks or Special when the enemy's health is almost none, and relish what you may now reap! Overt-kill.

When jumping you may use up to 3 different attacks depending on which character you've chose.

Jump-attacks and throws knock the enemy off their feet.
Experiment with neutral jump-attack, jumping directions, and jump down-attack.
Strategize with jump down-attack to not knock the enemies off the ground.

GRAB an enemy or items via the corresponding button (Y on gamepad, D on keyboard). When the enemy is in your grasp, continue your assault via ATTACK, throw them with the GRAB button once more, or 'MOLECHST'/ALT-ATTACK them with A (May not 'molechst', it's character and situation-specific)! EXAMPLE: Bimson's suplex!
Watch out! You might be 'smaxxxed' up yourself! Follow the onscreen QTE to break free!
Look out for stage hazards! IE, a wood chipper: if the crowds are too much hassle, use them for instant slays! Throw the enemy into the hazard's zone! Don't fall in yourself!

-Adjust button tightness on Low/High attacks leading accidentally out of Charge attacks (a PITA)

-Newer levels/more enemies proper
-Fancy layered effects
-Vehicles
-New tunes (does anyone have something groovy/dubby without a high rights price?)
