Status Update #51

This week we worked on a custom development tool, BIOS updates, taming Daz, and making the final RAM upgrades for the foreseeable future. The random system freezes caused by Daz should now be over, and we're not looking to up the rendering quality or complexity any further either. We might even go backwards a little bit in some areas, but we'll see. We're saving all the testing for after the update.
We also fixed some clothing issues with the animations and tried to make the fabric a bit more lively instead of stiff. Animations are seemingly always holding us back a bit, but we're getting better and better the more we work on them.
The next batch of renders has also been post-processed and polished. Next up will be some coding and fine-tuning SFX, and possibly some music as well.
A pre-emptive answer to the many DMs and comments: there is no release date yet. When there is one, it will be in the title of the status update. The status is TBA.
The next preview for 0.7 escaped from the dev cage earlier this week. It's a little preview of an upcoming scene with Bree!
The last preview(s) before the update drops will follow a similar style. Who do you think should be next in the queue?

If you haven't read or heard about the AVNL times yet, check them out! They make high quality magazines about AVNs and the community. You can find plenty of articles, news and discussions about many AVN games in their magazines. They recently had a double issue drop as well.

Not fully just yet, but almost! With RAM being in the ideal range of 128gb now, we only have one more upgrade left for the rendering rig and that's a second graphics card. After that, they can be considered fully upgraded. We're running two computers for graphics: a creation and a rendering rig. The dedicated animation rig will bring the total to 3. 👍 We're going to use our own stuff a lot more going forward, but there are actual professionals making assets so of course from the Daz store as well. Really looking forward to start working with our own assets more and when we get to show them and their progress. :)

Lol I don't think you need to worry about upping the quality of your renders anyway tbh, they are already at the very top level as it is! I am very excited about the work you've been doing on clothing though. I imagine that, mostly because of how difficult it is to work with, is the reason why in the majority of AVNs, clothes have just magically disappeared between one render and the next, which has always been a pet peeve of mine. The fact that often you'll incorporate some clothing in the lewd scene or there is an element of stripping adds to the overall realism and hotness of the scene, so the fact that this is not only continuing, but also that you are working on the clothes being more "lively" for added realism is a massive draw for me 😁 I must admit, I can kinda see why some are getting a bit antsy now with pestering for release dates, I wasn't sure we'd see a status update #52 but it looks like it's coming. But what do we expect? The last update took (correct me if I'm wrong) almost the same amount of time and this one is much bigger. Our feedback said they were wanted more for this kind of development time and that's exactly what NFG are trying to deliver. Besides, quality at this level is never gonna be overnight anyway. At least we're getting closer 😁😁 Great preview. I'm gonna go against the grain and suggest Cassie appears in the next preview. Why? Two reasons, 1) I can't see her being suggested by anyone else, certainly not by the majority so I'll be in corner instead. And 2) because her story is less about romance, a render featuring her can afford to be more seductive, and that's a look she certainly did well in the lead up to her lewd scenes previously. As for AVNL Times, I'm not big into magazines (FHM was the last one I bought to give you an idea of how long ago that was!) but I'm intrigued to see Sophie on the cover though. Also Ashe, so that's two of my all time favourite AVNs in Summer Heat and Projekt Passion so perhaps I might have a peek to see what they have to say about em. Thanks again for the update 😀

How many computers etc. do you actually have in use 💻 Do you use your own solution for the clothing or do you also use things from the store 🥻 Animations really suck to create, but the results are all the better for the game. That's why it's okay if you have to struggle with it...just kidding 😅🤣 While I'm at it: when is the next update coming? Ok, I admit it, I had a clown for breakfast today 🤪🤣😅🫣🤡 The preview of Bree was just fantastic. I'm looking forward to the next one, which I'm sure will be from Sophie 😜 Thanks for pointing out the AVNL. I stumbled across it a few days ago. Nice idea, I'll keep my fingers crossed for the makers. I haven't read magazines myself for decades, whether print or digital. And I get recommendations for new games from friends and general information about AVNs online. So, I'm off again. I wish you all, Swanley, Toaster, the Bra-Monster and the Milk-Bar a great weekend.
