I worked on these Romans last month but felt a lil uh, terrible. ;3
I kinda started to really dislike it half way through as well, but now that it’s finished I’m glad I still continued it! (I’ve dropped more than a few paintings in the last few months) Rictus and Horatius are precious, and even if this scene isn’t canon in the Roman story, I can dream!!
I added the capitoline wolf on their shields bcs I live for even just a smidge of deeper meaning. Their connection unbreakable.. for a time.
