The top twenty is going to start out with the most recent story to appear on this list! Keeping Up Appearances is a bodyswap story between an uncle and nephew pairing and while it might not be one of my more experimental works or even a longer piece, I distinctly remember getting hot and bothered as I was writing it and that is enough to earn it a fairly solid place on this list!
There are a number of things in this story I love: turning the tables on a homophobe and getting revenge by whoring his body out, a young man lacking in confidence gaining it and "finding himself" (although ironically, in another man's skin) and a little bit of a deeper message about societal issues. I try not to go too preachy with my writing even though I do have rather strong opinions on issues and politics but I've never been ashamed of working them in like this. In fact I think it makes the conclusion of this story even sweeter. Assholes like Joel deserve to get punished and guys like Ian deserve a fair shot away from unnecessary criticism and pressure.
