Oklahoma Onion Smash burger could be their thing?

Avery Black

Logan Axberg

If Carl doesn’t give Dallas their flowers next episode I’m going to start to suspect he has some slight bias against white Euros…. I hope he at least gives Gafford his flowers….

Kevin Potter

Minnesota Food gotta be a hotdish

Noelle

Sean tells such great stories

Sam

Activism/organizing is about gathering people, so the goal is to get as many people doing it for your cause as possible

Alex Dalir

Awww! Crawford loves the Timbywolves!!!!!!!!!!! Can I send him some gear c/o Headgum?????

Britt B

I think that listening to the Boys NOT talk about the Timbywolves is my weird shame kink

Britt B

Hey did you guys hear that LeBron James was forced out of his home by an angry mob wielding power tools usually used for cutting down trees? Yeah apparently he was goaded with the saws 🤷‍♂️

Hogbone

Yeah Idk about wild rice pancakes but chicken wild rice soup is fire and wild rice burgers can be good af too. I usually think of green bean casserole as the MN dish, but probably most people would say tater tot hot dish. Goofy ass dish for sure

RuGo

My algorithm is 80% Oklahoma onion smash burger

WildcatWill

Trivia story was the stuff of nightmares. I want to know what news item that person had recently seen that would put the NWSL front-of-mind.

Nick C.

Bison burgers are also pretty big.

My college cafeteria (1100 miles and a time zone away from Minneapolis) used to serve hot dish for lunch every other Friday. I had to plan my day around it, because I would eat three or four plates of the stuff and immediately need to lie down for a few hours.

Nick C.

My understanding was that the "Oklahoma Food" is the onion burger: https://www.seriouseats.com/oklahoma-onion-burger-recipe

Alex Chosid

One missing on the Minnesota food list would be Lutefisk

Macree Colvin

Didn't realize they were about to talk about it on pod 😅. The tenderloin is great regardless

Bennie Waters

indianapolis resident, seconding pork tenderloin sandwich (that thing's gotta be at least a foot in diameter) and sugar cream pie. if you're wanting chains, steak n shake (while started in illinois) is headquartered here and i feel like is associated more here than illinois (but maybe my view is skewed as a hoosier)

Paul Jacobson

Indianapolis resident chiming in. Our state food is the pork tenderloin sandwich. An alternative would be the sugar cream pie. Hope this gets the Doughboys here

Bennie Waters

Another lifetime Oklahoma City resident checking in. Agree with the above Braums comment. Sonic Drive-In also based in OKC. There’s a surprisingly solid local restaurant scene around OKC. Music & comedy scene is rough.

Jake O’Bannon

Radish > juicy lucy < tater tot hot dish

Dylan

If Dallas and Boston make the finals and I have to listen to three people openly root for the Celtics… I’m still going to listen but I WILL be disgusted

JayK

Oklahoman checking in for this one. The chain Doughboys would visit there for is Braum’s. Basically whataburger meets baskin robbins. Pretty solid. Def golden plate club. Definitely right about the growth of this team not having parallel growth with the city like 2010-15 Thunder did. People still adore the team, but it isn’t as much part of a broader moment within the city, which has contributed to bit of consternation around the 1 billion dollar stadium that’s being built with only 5% ownership funding. Basically gifting a billion dollar asset to a private entity…

Amazing Carl complains about Jokic never playing defense and then complains that he never fouls out. He never fouls out because he doesn't play defense!

Max New

Getting hammered then battered and covered in lard? Sounds like a date with Strahinja Jokic.

Ian Garwood

Oh Hayes, Coolidge? In front of everyone? This is the Holding Deal all over again

Max Newhouse

Carl is a generational hater, I love it.
